The shoe has a massively thick midsole, but somehow Mizuno got it approved for racing by World Athletics. That really only matters for elites who are winning races; nobody’s going to nullify your BQ if you lace up this chunky shoe.

Had it on for one training session so far and I’m pretty impressed. The shoe feels awkward walking in it but once you start running and accelerate to paces below 4:15/km the magic begins and it’s pretty fast and responsive while still offering great stability and control 👍🏻

As a big fan of mizuno, way back to the wave rider 1 , precision and elixir I'm very happy mizuno has this supershoe racing shoe.

It's my favorite and fastest 5 to 10k racing shoe..haven't tried longer races yet..took 20sec/mi off my best times..best with mid-foot strike rather than forefoot strike..doesn't like a high crowned road,similar to adidas primeX..

Great review, for sure the black white patches is the best option. Trying to get it in Europe but my size constantly sold out. Price in Italy with Easter Discount €175.

Such a fascinating shoe But the Vaporfly is still the king 😞 Have you compared your heart rate at a given pace for the two shoes? 🤔 ie the VF may feel more propulsive but the Mizuno has the better economy?

The wave rebellion pro is as good as any shoe out there..once you understand it after two or three runs this shoe is phenomenal as good as alphafly 1 and waporfly next percent
