I was in the Marines and overseas when Mike and the Bulls were running the NBA and man, the things Mike did on that court were UNreal. My dad is like that, too. He's 72 and played ball at junior college, but I remember as a kid growing up he could hit any jump shot inside the three point line without needing to warm up. I'm 34 and I started watching basketball and the Bulls in particular around '89 (6 years old). My older cousin turned me onto Michael Jordan and to watch him in his prime as a young kid is indescribable. The only thing that I could say to sum up the years I remember watching him from 1989 to 2003 is if you take some person who knows nothing about Michael Jordan or basketball and they watch a game he's playing it's not going to take them 30 seconds to figure out who the best player on the court is. And that statement would be true of every single game he played his entire career. He wasn't a perfect basketball player but he was easily the best of all time. If you blocked a shot or stole the ball from him he would come back ten times harder and embarrass you for even having the gall to play defense.
