Honest question from dutch/indian fan that doesnt follow the nba extremely long or intense. Why isnt kareem higher up in your list. He is 6 time champ and has 6 or 5 MVP he used to have the scoring title in a non scoring era. He had a signature shot, the skyhook. All round Kareem was a one of one and his accolades showed. @@KenwayDACR the goat debate is truly objective Lebron kareem and Jordan have similar statistics in terms of points all time, accolades, awards I mean sure, lebron has the most points out of the three but he also has the least mvps Jordan has the least points, but most awards Kareem has the points and accolades to back up his case I can completely understand if Kareem was your goat because of his career achievements It’s so hard to compare these guys because they all dominated in seperate eras Kobe could be some peoples goat (not saying that Kobe is bad or anything he’s one of the greatest all time) For me personally, I believe the list goes MJ at 1, Lebron at 2, and Kareem at 3, but everyone has their own opinion about the matter Hope that helps

@@KenwayDACR the thing is, Kareem won 3 of his MVPs in the 70s (well technically one in 1980) and there was less competition for him in that time compared to MJ and Lebron. Also those eras were not non scoring eras, back then in Kareem's era players like Jerry West, Rick Barry, Elvin Hayes etc were great scorers and averaged 30+ ppg in the following seasons they won their scoring titles. Kareem probably is the best in terms of resume but there's other things as well that play a factor in the GOAT conversation so I have him at 3rd place behind Lebron

@@IlmaliklI Only Jordan could be criticized for singlehandedly establishing a team that was talented enough to make the semi-finals without him. And yet they never appeared in finals without him. Tell me what the Bulls were before Jordan got there, contrast that with what they became when Jordan hit his prime ('88-'89) and that tells you Jordan's impact on the Bulls alone Pippen didn't even average above 10ppg for his 1st couple seasons while Jordan was leading the league in scoring, all guards in slts, blks, winning MVPs, 1st Team All-NBA, 1st Team All-Defense etc. He averaged 40ppg in 7 playoff series 2 of which were in the finals. He has 7 consecutive scoring titles and 7 consecutive seasons in which he averaged 30+ppg and 3 of those years they won the finals. This continued all the way through the 2nd 3peat. On top of all that he won all 6FMVPs as the leading scorer with a 15+ppg margin in all 6 finals wins. He MOST DEFINITELY CARRIED the Bulls and is the only reason they ever appeared in an NBA final let alone won all 6 LeBron leaves teams after having given up everything to cater to his playingstyle and yet yall attribute that to his greatness and wonders why no one takes you seriously. MJ from the 1991-1993 finals led the Bulls in pts, asts, stls, FG%, FT%, as well as every advanced stat you can think of. This aint a debate

@TigerRoku I think part of it, in my opinion, is the ability to be the offense yourself. So Kareem is amazing, but he can start his own offense, he has to be given the ball in the right position, which he is good at getting into those positions. Same with Magic, he is incredible, but he is the offense starter, not the finisher. MJ and LeBron did both initiate the offense and finish the offense. They also were both good defenders, MJ still being one of the best defenders of all time

That move against Laimbeer might be the single greatest shot ever made in a basketball game. How the hell he made that is beyond me. If you play basketball go to a gym and try to recreate it and keep in mind you don't have a 7 footer like Laimbeer trying to maul you.

The second shot of him scoring against Lambeer was so badass. Saves the ball, then dodges the majority of the hit from the brute Lambeer. Total beast mode.
