Sir, " i can even see,". " i can even see a house from here". Here how we identify that even is used for house(object) or see(verb) or i (subject)??? Which is modified by even??.... "I also sleep" here also is mentioned for i(subject) or sleep (verb)??..if adverb come after first auxiliary verb or before main verb, will it modify subject or verb?? It's my big doubt please reply me sir... How we identify??? I am so confused please reply sir

A very good question. The modifiers are tricky. Even native English speakers commit mistakes. Generally when a modifier is used it must be close to the word or clause it is modifying. 1. "I can even see". Here it is modifying "see". If the subject "I' has any vision problem and he had not been able to see before and now after treatment he is able to see, he can say this. But if he is able to see just as the others do, he should say: "Even I can see." 2. in " I can even see a house from here". In this "even" modifies "see a house". So it means, he can see a house as well as something more. Suppose you go to a mountainous place and you happen to a house in the hill top, you can say " I can even see a house. 3. In "I also sleep", what are you trying to modify? "I" or "sleep" I guess, in this place, the meaning is to modify "I" There are many people who sleep in a particular room. "I also sleep" in this context mean that you also sleep in that room. But if you want to modify you can say "I sleep also". This sentence doesn't sound well in English. So you could say: "I sleep as well" In this room I do my office work and I sleep as well. To answer your final question: How to identify? The answer is: modifiers modify the word or clause close to it. I suggest you to see some videos on modifiers. If you want I can also prepare a video lesson. But actually this is Advanced English; so I don't know if others will like it.
