Yes please do more low tech! I've been struggling to get my CO2 saturation up in my 17 gallons, I think it's because i'm using HOB filter and the surface agitation is just gassing off. Prefer not to buy canister due to risk of leaking/flooding. Do you think it's possible to do high tech tank with HOB?

Absolutely love the color of this wood, the shape also, but you said it was rare, too bad! Could you tell us next time the pro's and con's of using no filter? I kinda missed that here. Co2 I understand but I don't know about the filter. Is it to naturally keep more co2 in the water for the plants? And the plants and substrate function as filter? I'm just guessing here haha.

Hey Mark, I have a question: I have a 70L Dennerle scapers and currently set it close to the floor on a steel shelf with solid wood. Would there be a problem if the front of the tank is poking about 3-4 mm off the shelf in front? I cannot push it further back because of the Seachem Tidal I use and as it is, it's sitting flush against the wall. I hope it won't pose any structural issues. Highly doubt, but I just wanted to confirm. Thank you!
