Cool from MJF, but the boss needs the boys to hype him up and sell him and boost his confidence. That my friends is a big problem, no matter how well intended Tony Khan's ambitions are, or how important it is AEW remains an alternative to WWE. It's like MJF is the real boss here, like he's even openly saying to his boss that he better pay up or MJF will leave fo WWE and Tony just stands there and takes it. I would love AEW to succeed, but IMO it just can't be done with a boss like this even if he has money. MJF's title run might be worth watching, but unless AEW shoots up and becomes a major promotion a true rival to WWE by some sheer miracle, in 2024 MJF will leave. And once MJF leaves, it will all fall apart quick, or die down.

If that would have been on TV I would have absolutely hated it & probably went & puked when it was done. I don't know how many of you have been to a live event but it's common for there to be shenanigans after the show to give the fans a little something extra. It was really no different than what happens on TV every Wednesday, MJF just showed everybody how it's done. I don't know how he did it but he somehow managed to put over Tony Khan for everything that he has done & rightfully so. I've been critical of Tony (like anybody reading this gives a rat's ass of who I have or haven't been critical of) regardless of your feelings about Tony or AEW the man has done a lot for wrestling and MJF rightfully acknowledged that. My point is he somehow managed to do all of that & still remain not just a heel but the greatest heel in the business today. This obviously is just my opinion but if he can stay healthy at his age he may one day be considered the greatest heal in the history of professional wrestling other than Rowdy Roddy Piper. If he doesn't walk out of that PPV with that bell around his waist I won't be absolutely shocked. If there's ever been someone's time it's right now and it is MJF's time!
