As an old Jackson fan Forever Michael is my favorite from his early days. The Dangerous ad is the best. Of course I can't pick a favorite from his solo career they're ALL brilliant.

I've watched albums commercials, and other brands with MJ . When the golden 50th anniversary double album came out i ran straight to the store to buy it. Beautiful remixes with great featuring like will.i.am, fergie, lil kim, kanye west. I'm sure Michael enjoyed doing remix with those other artist

The M.J. album promo commercials that I can vividly remember from my youth, is Off The Wall and Thriller. I remember having only three music formats to choose from Vinyl, cassette, and the 8 track tape. I'm probably giving away my age here...lol , but I don't care, because those were definitely the best days of my life. 🤗❤️👌🏾

I remember when they had a Michael Jackson weekend on MTV when they premiered the video for Scream and Captain EO in the same weekend! It was the weekend that the HIStory album came out. It was so dope! And then they play all of the videos basically from Disc One (excluding The Girl Is Mine) and for like She’s Out of My Life, I Just Can’t Stop Loving You and WBSS all from the Bucharest show for Dangerous.

My time for MJ build up of his albums was the Bad and Dangerous eras...I used to dance in clubs trying to keep people excited about his music and at that time each single, each performance and each video was amazing as I would attempt to replicate him with a flavor of my own...my mother who passed away shortly after Dangerous was released shared my enthusiasm as well...we watched the Bucharest show on HBO together...her favorite song was Gone Too Soon ironically...amazing feelings as those eras still live in my mind...

When I was in 5th 6th grade reading my Kmart ad looking for the new CD page I'll never forget seeing that MJ invincible CD and I thought wow he's still making music and going no where now that's powerful and I felt a sense of comfort thinking that he would never stop making hit album after hit album and then when he passed I found blood on the dance floor history in the mix at best buy b4 i ever heard the history album and still till this day i prefer the remixes over the originals

I love your analysis. I just turned 30, born 91, and, so, I truly relate and am inspired by your take on the invincible era - and have a newfound understanding that is worth mentioning. Because, we are a fascinating group, and, I dont think at the time, we realized, nor could understand, how important it would be to actually perceive, and impericaly live through the final era of the greatest entertainer to ever walk the earth. For us it was pop up video, morpheus 8 hour download periods for clips of the bad tour, and, an album cycle during 106 and park, Nelly, and, a very awkward phase of pop cultures transition from michaels original vision; and, so, at the time, it was like Michael jackson was man in the mirror michael, and then, an entirely new michael that spun differently, covered his lips when he sang live, and, virtually felt like what the kids today would identify as a clone, though we didn't have the language at the time for it. It was y2k, and, Michael was back in blue at Virginia records, before 911, and, during a time that would see the world as it fit for the last time, with social media only a decade away. It's hilarious, to see the marketing evolve throughout the years - as they particularly focus on "13 new songs" when in today's climate music is like a journal entry juxtaposed to 13 rare dragon balls tocollect, and experience: one thing about being born an invicible era child - is that to be a michael fan in 2001 was, lonely, especially as a 10-11 year old, coming of age - having been too young to be marketed to during the history era - and so I say all that to say during our era there wasn't such a wait for the album, like there was for us personally, though, that gravity, world on a headlock, 8pm primtime fox 5 music video debut Michael Jackson is the one we didn't experience, and, so it's fascinating to feel even within the commercials the angle that they present the phenomenon michael jackson during the years. As an invicible era, to hear my lovely one, over a commercial os quite channeling to that wondrous magical spirit that surrounded, Michael, before he became a full on, mickey mouse, character by, dangerous. You really enlightened, inspired, and transported me to a time that now in retrospect does have its aesthetic and significance. I do remember the tickets for the 30th anniversary selling out in 3 hours, my dad at the time couldn't get them lol, Thanks.

I am a 70s baby so the 80s was my decade what the younger generation has to understand like you said we didn't have KZbin internet Facebook excetera excetera you have to understand the anticipation when something comes on TV if you didn't see it now Michael Jackson came out ohmygod it was straight up Mayhem I remember the making of Thriller the world was anticipating that and if you was not there in front of that TV and it went off you missed it there wasn't no go to KZbin it's hard for me to explain but the 80s was the best
