"They say I'm Bipolar, but I'm going with ADHD" me too hun, me too.
@Jason-TheChad-Muska_circa1995
@Jason-TheChad-Muska_circa1995 5 ай бұрын
I'm 37 and I still stuggle greatly with my ADHD quite significantly. I getting these fits of hyperfocus or I fixate on one thing while I'm supposed to be working on two other things and getting those done and then the thing I hyper focus on is completely irrelevant but yet my mind convinces it that it's the most necessary thing to complete at that moment. I also procrastinate on a lot of things because of this and each day I convince myself that I'm going to do it tomorrow and I make excuse after excuse as to why today isn't the day to do it. It's completely illogical. Oh and most people would probably jump to the conclusion and say that I'm lazy, but I'm not lazy at all. I work for FedEx ground where I work Monday through Saturday. I grew up doing construction until about 6 years ago and this is one of The most difficult jobs that I've ever done in my life and my dad was a residential builder so I have done and I am highly skilled in trained in every trade but HVAC and electrical. I'd say masonry work is definitely harder but it's close. So I bust my ass and my normal day-to-day life but when I go home and need to do other things it's just it all falls apart. No Adderall helps slow my mind down but it makes me really sleepy and I don't like taking it and because of this I went like 7 years without taking it even though I'd grown up on it and I'm taking it again and it without question better's my life significantly.

Unfortunately it’s not uncommon for an ADHD misdiagnosis to turn into a BP diagnosis. Happened with my wife. She was put on low dose adhd meds, first an antidepressant, then Adderall. One put her in severe depression, the other started her first manic episode. I hope the last lady can eventually embrace treatment & take the resources that are trying to help her.

I spent 10 years heavily medicated for bipolar disorder. We moved and I got a new psychiatrist. On the first visit, he went, “wait a minute…. Let’s assess you ADHD.” Some assessments later, I was weaned off piles of bipolar medications and placed on some Ritalin. What a difference! 10 years down the drain. A zombie on copious amounts of medication for a wrong diagnosis.

It is due to the fear of withdrawal from whatever drug she is on. Her behavior exemplifies it plus the fact I did time and seen what it looks like, I couldn't imagine going through it. She wanted that drug because for most if they do not have it they feel like they cannot breathe and a lot start to feel like they are hurting all over. I watched a guy cry for almost 2 days straight going through withdrawal. It wasn't just the 2 days either she feared. The probation of weekly testing meant whatever she was on she could not have anymore during that probations. No matter what she is going to go through the withdrawal and it freaked her out.

While the judges regular tactics are commendable, I believe the case of Ms Scott is unique, and beyond the judge's typical experience, and understanding. The judge is used to outbursts being born out of a sense of entitlement, and an attempt to avoid consequences. Ms Scott's case, I believe, is based out of fear, having recently began the struggle from homelessness, and viewing all her efforts crashing down. Her emotional state does not allow her to comprehend the temporary inconvenience of 48hrs, but instead views it as putting her right back struggling to get off the streets. She doesn't hear "48hrs", all she hears is "jail time". I feel saddened by the metal state that struggling with homelessness has put her in, and the clues she displays that she believes all her efforts are being taken away from her. It isn't the judge's fault she isn't trained to recognize, let alone be able to resolve, this. It's just very sad that someone's hardships are just compounded by their inability to comprehend.

Her engine locked up because she kept driving while it was overheating, in case anyone is wondering. The garage probably just fixed the coolant leak, not the overheated engine. If your car overheats, pull over immediately and have it towed. If you aren't able to tow it, wait for it to cool down and add water or coolant if possible. Drive home a couple kms at a time, parking and allowing it to cool down in between, so it doesn't overheat again.

THAT is the biggest issue facing society today: it's always someone else's fault. But honestly? My last gf was the same. She signed a contract without reading it then complained that the company was fulfilling their part of the contract. A buddy's gf and he were going out for dinner and she was running around trying to find her keys and blamed HIM because he asked her if she was ready. "it's your fault I forgot where I put my keys because you asked me if I was ready to go"...huh??? Same thing happened to me, I was dating this young lady, went over to pick her up, she was just finishing getting ready. She came out of her bedroom all dolled up and I say "ready to go"? "yes, just have to find my keys". While I was waiting for her I sat at her breakfast bar. I saw the keys sitting on the counter. When she said "I have to find my keys" I said "they are..." SHUTTUP I have to find my keys...and goes into her bedroom. "HEY THEY"RE R" SHUSH I'M TRYING TO FIND MY KEYS so she comes out, zooms into the living room looking all over "hey, they're right...." I don’t personally handle them in court, but I routinely deal with them in other contexts-and they behave this way in facing any life challenges. I went to my arraignment and pled guilty, and the judge put his hand over the microphone and told the stenographer to strike it, and told me to plead not guilty and appreciated my honesty in taking responsibility, but the prosecutor will cut me a deal since its such a tiny amount.... which never made it to evidence anyways lol... and I had no prior record. I was surprised cus I was told Hon. Kelly liked to make examples of people. In Michigan we had whats called a 7411 deferment for first offenses, where if you pass probation its like it never happened. Nowadays, the cops find your weed and say "wow that smells good" and hand it back over 🤣. Never thought I would see decriminalization in my lifetime.

These women all have a common personality trait and that is that NOTHING that happens is THIER fault. They are the ones who are being done wrong as opposed to owning that they are DOING wrong. Just like the girl beating her mother, she said it "I just want to be left alone". Then just to prove the one girl doesnt see herself at fault her comment "Thanks for your harmful attitude". Then he actually tries a decent play by using the manic episode defense for her behavior and she shoots it right down instantly. I think the second he called her as a witness he knew he screwed up. 14:07 now due to assisted living she now has a roof over her and her own place. Yet there are people living on the streets who have never broken any law, have gainful employment who can't get a place. I know some need a helping hand, but if you're continually breaking the law, you belong at the bottom of the list. Harsh, but it is what it is. @hauntedshadowslegacy2826 2 жыл бұрын
Thing is, people who try to contribute wouldn't need a 'helping hand' with food, shelter, clothing, and healthcare if employers actually gave a damn. They don't. Massive corporations pinch pennies on the daily so their upper management can vacation to Cancun on their super yachts. Minimum wage is not livable anymore, let alone for a growing family. That's why people need a 'helping hand'; everyone else is picking up the tab through taxes because the bean-counters have gotten comfortable with abusing entry-level workers. As for getting shelter, that's a whole other can of worms. The U.S. lets investors trade properties like stocks, even on the international stage. Trading jockeys have ravaged the housing market, as have AirBnB landlord-wannabes. Fixing the housing market would entail taking every house and apartment off the stock market, and that's just step one. This whole country is thoroughly effed.
@muskokamike127

@@hauntedshadowslegacy2826 wow so much wrong with your post. 1) anyone can become a CEO in the US...anyone! 2) minimum wage was NEVER a living wage, was never meant to be. If you want to earn more? become more valuable. I started at $2.00 an hour and now am making (on average) $150. HOW? self improvement. If you are only happy pushing a broom, that's all you'll ever earn. 3) As for housing: how'd o'bama's socialst "sub prime" program work out for ya? 4) the number 1 reason housing is expensive is the number of people. More people = lower wages = higher costs. END OF DISCUSSION. If 100 people need that apartment, the value is high. if 1 person needs that apartment, the value is low.

By "business" I mean the whole of commerce as well as the whole of industry; by workers I mean all workers, the white collar class as well as the men in overalls; and by living wages I mean more than a bare subsistence level-I mean the wages of decent living." -FDR, 1933

@@agoogleuser9305 That's great and all but the issue is: the vast majority of companies ONLY pay non-living wages for entry and unskilled labour. If you have a skill or develop one, you get paid more. The only people who should be on subsistence level incomes are high school students working part time, or those with mental handicaps who are only working as a hobby. Where I live contractors are offering $20/hr or $40,000 for unskilled labour and can't find anyone to work. BTW: the mean household income for all of Canada is about $55K per year. The problem in North America is people want to be paid well, yet work less and not put in any effort. They also think they are entitled to live alone, have all the modern conveniences. If 3 people on min wage got a 3 bdrm apartment they could live quite well. Here in Ontario the government will PAY you to learn a trade like electrician and once you get your ticket you'll be booked solid at $75/hr. When you're learning you'll make $30/hr. But that will take effort. Canada is short 450,000 tradesmen.

I get really annoyed when THEY break the law but 'YOU GUYS keep locking me up'. You do the crime, you doing the time..... Respectfully.

I really feel for the lady. I was laid off in Aug. 2022 and applied to jobs when I received my 60 days notice I began looking for jobs I have applied for over 100 + jobs no one was calling. I was either getting scammed or ghosted by companies. I just now in 2023 got a part time job and not making what I was making. Company’s will say they are hiring but no calls.

I hope your doing better today. It is true about jobs. I have cdl, cert vet tech, cna and getting my rn. I struggled with getting a job after moving. Even one around don't pay alot or don't even offer full time. I get it.

She is probably HELLA triggered by the possibility of the jail because her mom died while she was in jail last time.

Too fucking bad. She shouldn’t be on drugs in court and she shouldn’t commit crimes that put her in jail

I love her deciding to overrule the mental professionals diagnosis of bipolar in favor of her own diagnosis of ADHD! Absolutely perfect statement by her!

Not defending her but a lot of people with ADHD are misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Yeah, not saying she's right but so many people are misdiagnosed, especially women. These sorts of emotionally dysregulated, panicked snd eventually aggressive meltdowns are also incredibly common with ADHD.

@@jenivieve8273This is very true. I was diagnosed with ADHD 20 years ago butt only learned about the emotional dysregulation component in the last 5. Suddenly so many things made sense and it gave me a foundation to work on being prepared when these situations arise.
