I actually preferred the look of the thinner foam leaving a more even coverage of film on the panel, but I guess you could dial back you dilution a little on the new one to get same results. I really liked this style video, you was very thorough in your investigations, more Specky science in future please👨🏻‍🔬

Hi Specky. I just posted a vid on the Pro 2 yesterday and I was very impressed. I really loved your vid. When you sprayed both on the car, I was hoping that you would start the second side in the opposite orientation to the first, you did, well done. Proved the foam was better in the new cannon and that’s exactly what I found too.

I like the small design change of the newer one, if that matters 🤓 Was interesting to see how different is the thickness between the two models and I was thinking that which one I would prefer out of the two form of foams.. both have pros and cons compare them to each other. My MJJC lance is on its way so hopefully I will be able to find an answer soon. Great demo Specky, as always. 🤘

Hi Specky Cheap Trick 7: MJJC Foam canon, This is a little different because its item specific, namely the fantastic MJJC foam canon. Very popular and definitely top of the range, but I discovered something when I opened mine a while ago, I’ve seen lots of You Tube tests and write ups on this great foamer and haven't heard this mentioned by anyone else, not once! Even MJJC don’t point it out in their blurb. If you turn the gun piece upside down you will discover theres actually two sets of threads, the large size which everyone obviously knows because thats what you screw the MJJC bottle into, but…. There is also a smaller thread within this, and this thread accepts standard spray bottles (PET bottles). So you can actually prepare/premix say three types of applications in trigger bottles and just swap from one to the other as you work, this saves time, and it saves you measuring out into the MJJC bottle, then maybe having product left which you have to decant or worse throw away. Using three bottles in this way, an example would be the Autoglym Polar series Which I don’t but there are loads of other times three bottles could be needed, lets you start with three litre bottles, use what you require and just transfer the gun straight to the next product and put a cap on the previous bottle for next time. And don’t forget if your outside and its getting cold now, or your a pro and speed is important……. As Dave says in one of his vids, minutes, turn into hours, hours into days… all earning time. Thanks for the quick response. I’ve just got the MJJC foam cannon and I have a Karcher K5. The cannon seems to come fitted with the 1.25mm orifice so I’ll stick with that. Might try the 1.1mm just to see if it makes much difference, but don’t want to risk damaging my pressure washer.

The K5 produces way too much pressure for a 1.1mm orifice, don't attempt it in case you do damage your machine.

If you can find the model number then you can look up the pressure. Most consumer electric pressure washers should be fine with this lance.

And also when you were doing the foam test Was both fully open or fully closed because that could have something to do with the amount of foam and also the height difference.

Both valves were adjusted to the same position during the height measurement and the foam test.

No, the 1.1 orifice was too small for my pressure washer to operate properly. Both lances had the 1.25mm orifice fitted.

Hi Specky, true science here :) Jokes aside, I've tested the two as well, but seen no difference in foaming at all. The claims on the box are in comparison to the MJJC Foam Cannon S, not the previous Foam Cannon Pro. The context is the same on these boxes (v1 vs v1 upgraded vs v2).
