Dr. Ghodussi is for Optimum but the Rinseless was made first by the ProtectAll on 1993 with Quick and Easy Wash. I know because my uncles were among the first to use that product in Puerto Rico on 1994 and I have been using Rinseless since then. Optimum created ONR after that.

How did you clean the wheels did you just use the wash from the polar wash from the spray gun then agitate when on the wheels?
@SpeckyMcSporran4 күн бұрын
As there was no dedicated wheel cleaner I just used the foam to dwell and blast it off with the pressure washer after.
@matthewperriss40514 күн бұрын
@@SpeckyMcSporran did it come okay then? Would you recommend doing or find a dedicated wheel cleaner?

It depends what you find acceptable or how bad the wheels are. Dedicated wheel cleaners agitated with a brush will always be superior.

Thanks for your video. I have a couple of questions please. Do you need to dry the car off after rinsing and also, does pressure hosing damage the paintwork in the long run?
@SpeckyMcSporran10 күн бұрын
It's a personal preference but I like to dry my car after a wash so I don't get water spots. As for the damage question, I think if that were a real risk we'd know about it by now.

Confirms what I thought. T-Cut is the most aggressive abrasive that cuts through the paint. Useful for old 1 layer paints. Be careful with modern 2 layer paints. The 2nd T-Cut is a finer abrasive. And Meguiars is very fine, suitable for preparing paint for waxing, and removing swirl marks left by the others. I’m still curious what grit numbers apply to all 3. I could then compare them with my stone polishing powders. Thanks

What lance do you recommend for use with a karcher K4
@henriks500815 күн бұрын
Dont make this into a science! If you got your p-washer and a foam-lance, just go with the recommendations from manufacturer, regarding ratios, pressure and water amount. Just make sure to make it into an enjoyable experience and dont over think everything. Have fun!

I don't disagree with you, but some people want to know the science. Anyone who doesn't will just scroll past.

@@SpeckyMcSporran Most things are what you make it into:) Its a good thing to make ppl aware of the PIR tho! Maybe add a tip; write down the flow-rate nr on your foam-lance, if you have/use several different lances. Next time you mix 1-5% PIR it is easier to remember what ratio for what lance. Maybe even make a laminated chart, to nerd it up properly! ;)

@gordonbrown8450Ай бұрын
As an old bloke , I am astounded to see that an extensive industry has grown up about the simple task of washing a car. As a young man you only washed your car when you couldn't see out of the windows. So twice a year you would grudgingly slop a bucket of dirty water over the car. Now you have to decide if you want a pre-wash to the pre-wash to the pre-wash . The bottom line is that , as long the car is safe, clean windows, lights and number plates the rest doesn't matter. When a typical new car loses 60% of it's value in the first two years the condition of the paintwork pales to insignificance.

Hi Specky, I've used super resin polish and ultra deep shine and theyre both excellent products even applied by hand ... Not sure if the ultra feep shine makes an awful lot of difference or not but i picked up at a bargain price in Halfords so it was to good to miss and used it on a Satin Grey Skoda Octavia and it came up lovely..... Admittedly it wasnt bad to start with

The Meguires is a good compound but if you're new to polishing then you may want to start with their Ultimate Polish instead as it's less aggressive and easier to use. As for a beginner machine polisher I'd suggest a DAS6 or similar budget dual action polisher.

I take it you need a lance attachment for any snow foam application? Meaning you cannot get away using the cleaning bottle which comes with a pressure washer?
@SpeckyMcSporran2 ай бұрын
Good question! There are some pressure washers that include a foam bottle or perhaps a detergent tank but they're either useless or fall very short of producing the foam. There are tons of foam lances on the market made by many different companies which should make it fairly easy to find one compatible with your equipment. Once you have the right tool for the job you'll get much better foam.
@OrangeUtopia2 ай бұрын
@@SpeckyMcSporran yeah found this out by experimenting. Doesn’t work and found that using this way it didn’t draw any of the dirt off. Ended up using the soft brush. But one interesting method I’m seeing that some mention pre jet washing to loosen the dirt. But some insist to spray onto the dried on dirt using snow foam which I would expect will cling more to the car. As the pre wash will only draw off the soap quick? And not get into the dirt. I suppose a pre wash wouldn’t be necessary if you’re just spraying on wet snow foam essentially
@SpeckyMcSporran2 ай бұрын
My theory is this - if you can see dirt actually sitting on the paint (rather than just road film) then you'd likely get a better clean by pre-rinsing the car first. If it's just road film then you can apply a snowfoam to the dry car and pressure rinse off after 5 - 10 mins of dwelling.
