I like how the NJ Transit light rail trains have the same seats as the buses do only the stripes are upward instead of sideways and aren't as soft like the bus seats

First time New Yorker who ever sets foot on New Jersey Transit system. Last week, I took the Light Rail train to 22nd Street on the North Jersey Coast Line. There was a Walmart Superstore (Bayonne store) to get some batteries. The whole area smelled like gas; like the left the eyes on the stove gas. I should have brought a MicroSD card for my camera. I was taking a visit to the Liberty Science Center for the first time because my 40th birthday starts this coming Monday, which they are closing the museum till Thursday.

I think the Newport stop gets a bit annoying cuz a lot of people come from the Newport mall to Bergenline Avenue cuz a lot of people live there and the train gets really full and they like to go shopping

Ah yes, the train I take to a family member's house every time visit them. while I can't visit then do to Covid-19, at least I can simulate the ride there.

That would be one hell of a project so a diesel train running on a defunct diesel freight line was the cheapest option go for.

I wonder if there is anyway to make it any faster. I imagine adding more tracks so you could get express service would be helpful.

Adding more tracks in the most densely populated county in the most densely populated state would be very expensive and almost impossible. Not a lot of room in that area to do such a thing.

It's Hudson-Bergen Light Rail. The riverline is Tram-commuter rail hybrid with diesel instead of overhead pantograph.
