The T-1000 is actually getting damaged by ever bullet it takes. It's just very small damage that would take tens of thousands if not more bullets, but it would stop working getting hit enough. Obviously the stronger the bullet the less you need. It's CPU is a part of the liquid metal so every hit is a hit to the CPU as well, it can reform and heal to ALMOST as good as new. The movie shows this at the end of the extended edition when he walks in the steel mill his feet are shown to melt into the steel floor, and his hand touches a railing and melts into the metal turning into the railings color. HE shakes his hand to make it go to normal, but they are implying that he has taken damage.

At the end of the movie, the sign outside the factory where they crush the endoskeleton says "Cyberdyne Systems". Cameron wanted a roll cage installed in the cab of the semi-truck for the scene where the semi rolls onto its side. Stunt coordinators assured him the stunt has been performed before and no roll cage was required. Cameron got his way. During filming, the cab did indeed collapse and the roll cage saved the stunt performer from serious injury or worse.

Focusing on the gun is a clue--that's actually pretty good, and true most of the time. In this case, it was more to highlight that the T-1000 couldn't liquefy anything that wasn't a part of him, so he couldn't just "gloop" the gun through the bars like he could and did himself. What the Missus is referring to is often called "Chekov's Gun", named for Russian playright Anton Chekov. It suggests that every element introduced in a story should be relevant and necessary. If an item, such as a gun, is specifically mentioned or shown early in the narrative, it should be used or have a purpose later in the story. The principle emphasizes the importance of economy and coherence in storytelling, removing irrelevant details to remain focused and drive the plot forward. To "shine someone on" means to irritate someone, to taunt someone. In this case, it's being flippant and casual so as to non-verbally disparage your enemy and show you don't consider them a threat. I'm a native English speaker and I'll be the first to say English is stupid. 🙂 It's actually three languages standing on top of each other in a trench coat, beating up other languages in back alleys for loose grammar. 😄 As such, please 😀don't take any of this as some sort of slight against your grasp of English; both of you speak English incredibly well, and only get tripped over the absurd bits that trip up even native speakers. A small detail I really like that often goes unnoticed: When Sara Connor is going after Dyson to kill him, the entire scene with her at the house up until she decides to not kill him is backed by the Terminator theme. For that moment, she had _become_ a Terminator. She had _become_ the very soulless killing machine she hated and feared, who only saw a human being in terms of an obstacle whose death was necessary, with no more importance than stepping on a blade of grass. That's why it touched her so that John came for her. She asked if he had come to stop her, he said yes, and she said she loved him. He was coming to stop her from crossing a line she couldn't un-cross. He was coming to save her, because he knew the cost of what she had almost done. Also, good catch, seeing that the T-1000 had three hands in the helicopter. Most people miss it; I certainly did until it was directly pointed out to me. Now watch _Terminator: Dark Fate._ It continues on from this movie and completes the character arc of Sarah Connor, and expands on some things with the Terminator.

The problem with time-travel movies is that every single disturbed dust speck or mosquito bit SHOULD ripple outward to the present day as it does or doesn't happen. It's generally-agreed that people in a time machine are not affected, but there's no time machine, here. I think the odds are heavily against them causing any change in the past and immediately recalibrating the present day, which would have to put a lot of pressure on the timeline. But it's an awesome movie.

1. Linda Hamilton must have been getting "Ah-nold time" to get ripped like that 😍🥰 2. My guess is that stove is hot🧐 3. John's childhood friend looks like the older version of the kid, but isn't, that played Tom Hanks' younger self's buddy in BIG.😎 4. Arnold did many of his own stunts in this movie, including riding the motorcycle. At one point he was injured, and they had to stop production for a couple of weeks so he could recover. 5. Arnold is not left-handed, but the way he works that shotgun is impressive😱

That's because they aren't clothes. What appears to be cloth is just more T1000.

It is weird to me that Johns stepmom is the jacked up marine in Aliens. Her looks are so different in this movie.

RE: Nitrogen. No ... Nitrogen is not inflammable. You are probably thinking of Hydrogen. You'll need to watch T3 in order to find out if Judgement Day was avoided or not.

Arguably the greatest action movie ever made. Arguably the greatest sequel ever made

Aliens, Lethal Weapon 2, Empire Strikes Back & Top Gun Maverick are better sequels. T2 was laced with a shedload of mistakes & inconsistencies that took away from what could have been amazing, for me anyway. First Terminator film was way better than T2.

@@GGGritzer Wow. I cant believe what I'm hearing. T2 is a bad sequel??
@GGGritzer Жыл бұрын
@@LukeLovesRose, I never said 'bad' but I have watched the original so many times & so much was said that completely negated ANY sequel as the war was over, it was smashed. 'Nobody goes home, no one else goes through. It's JUST him & me. Nothing dead will go' are two of many things Kyle said in interview. Had there been a tweak in the opening narrative about the Resistance getting its data wrong & Skynet had a second time machine. But it just skipped to 'sent two Terminators back' with zero explanations about how a metal one travelled. One was made to tell a fantastic story. Two was made to cash in on the success of the original, sadly. The T1000 had four or five opportunities to kill John during the film & didn't. Toned down & just not as good.

@@GGGritzer I get what you're saying. But the theme of T2 is theres no fate but what you make for yourself. The concept of changing or fixing things in the future for your own sake falls in line with that theme

@@LukeLovesRose, Dyson should have designed & built Skynet with zero future tech assistance. It was so easily written different, which would have eliminated the paradox.....

So probably all the programming in the T1000's metal is destroyed in the molten steel, but I like to imagine a story 500+ years in the future well after humans defeat the skynet machines where the T1000 is partially whole and wandering the post apocalyptic societies/wastelands with no mission looking though junkyards and scraps for more bits of himself that were forged into various products. Maybe he becomes some sort of accidental anti-hero along the way by defeating the Mad Max style warlords 😆
