I have never heard a les Paul sound like this. So beautiful! And that bridge pup is sooo sweet and delicious. Probs going to slowly switch out all my guitars to MJS haha. Also it sounds like that guitar is unbelievably perfectly set up... Like drool worthy.

+MJSCustomPickups Thanks, and the pickups sound amazing! Do you do anything amplification for acoustic guitars?
@MJSCustomPickups8 жыл бұрын
+Jeff Jodrey Cheers Jeff! Sure do...we make Custom Soundhole pickups that are hum cancelling Split Single format. You can see some references via our website link: www.mjscustompickups.com/mjs-custom-acoustic-sound-hole/ :-)

Sure - Rik was using a Vintage Tone Lab effects board - Level EQ’d into a Peavy Classic 30, Mic’d with a Shure SM57. Cheers!

what i've figured out is when the pickups are too hot you lose the articulation. now i don't play any bridge hotter than 14k or any neck hotter than 10k

Very common thought process Bobby. Two General rules of thumb: *The Stronger the Magnet = The More High Frequencies *The Higher the D.C. Resistance (Windings) = The Darker the Pickup -The D.C. resistance determines only 1 factor of the tone of the pickup. In simple terms, if you combine a weaker magnet with High D.C. resistance, you will get a darker pickup. BUT with the right "Formula", you can still get articulation with a "hot" pup. The trick is to have High DC resistance with a Lower Inductance. This of course, is oversimplifying the concept, but gives you an idea. Cheers!
