At the age of 4, my dad told me I would have a hard life and even though we were very poor and almost homeless he bough me an acustic guitar. I played that thing everyday of my life until the neck finally cracked when I was in college. As an engineer I atrribute my creativity to the many years of making rifts on that guitar. Now that I have money I just bought my first guitar in 10 years, a Martin 000-15M. Now I want a D-18. Slippery slope!

Better random than rewarding someone for making up a sob story to get a guitar. Besides, there aren't a ton of people that can walk into a guitar shop and just buy a $2000 guitar, or even one for half of that, without thinking real hard about it or planning/saving for it. A guy spends a lifetime doing what he loves and shares it with others, I call that blessed. Awesome collection, been waiting for you to show them off. We all collect something. I have almost 3,000 records that even make some of my dealer friends jealous, so don't let it bother you. Love your channel it's fun as well as informative. 🤘

I really loved your intro, I think your sincerity came off in waves. As someone who watched you for a long time (originally in a begrudging fashion growing into a legit appreciation) I think that the content you are making has grown with your audience, and we with you. I also do miss the little skits with your wife you did that got you started and think it would be cool to see that kind of thing again. You've never lost that vibe at all. Given we are about the same age, I'm glad to see that you also are finding accountability to be the wonderfully freeing thing that true adults have at their disposal. I can hear the difference in how you talk. You deserve everything you have, man. I will look out for you in Seattle guitar shops :)

The fact he believes tone wood? His lame stair way to heaven overused jokes?? The fact he keeps feeding into the lie that pickups make a difference in tone? His blatant shilling of prs for money?
@kingfred93 жыл бұрын
I'd recommend a BMG Special because of its pickup switching system. You can turn each pickup on with a switch so you can do things like have just the neck and bridge pickups on, not the middle. And each pickup can be set to be in or out of phase. It also has 24 frets!
@jimi2723 жыл бұрын
and the pickups are connected in series, hence the ability to turn the phase on two or more of them in correlation to each other... i own a BMG Super, instrument of a different quality level...

The Collection is beautiful and fascinating. These days with digital effects, a lot of guitarists may have a limited collection but be able to still derive any sound they want. I’ve done a lot of things alone in life but never felt lonely until I became a musician. In some ways it is the loneliest pursuit in the world. It’s good to have those guitars around, they will always be supportive and encouraging friends to you, each one providing its own unique source of inspiration, coming from completely different trees with their own unique history and set of experiences.

This has been debunked, no guitar really sounds unique apart from the difference in single coils verses humbuckers.. different types of the same pickup do not sound different either.. all this information is readily available online.. spectre sound studios does a lot of videos proving these myths wrong.
