@@nicoapi7401 I was 15 when I converted my old Honda 100 to a "dirt bike". That was 50 years ago. Before that, we had minibikes with Briggs engines. I even had a friend that built one with a Briggs engine from Heath Kit. Big difference back then. Stuff was much cheaper. I paid more for my last two helmets than I paid for my first three motorcycles. But we all built stuff and it has paid off throughout the rest of my life. It's good to know how things work. Glad to see some of you are keeping it up.

You can stabilize spooky ride using a screen door closer as a ghetto steering stabilizer, shorten shaft attach w articulating mount on frame and handlebar, really works well , totally adjustable.

eh some people are more comfortable doing 45 mph on a bicycle. I learned to ride on 2 stroke dirt bikes and used to bomb hills on my mountain bike just for fun. i hit 50mph on my dad's ebike and the elctric motor wouldnt even turn on i was going too fast 😂

@randomweirdo4467
@randomweirdo4467 Жыл бұрын
I don't wanna rain on your parade my dude but it's way more difficult on a fat tire. The frame geometry usually gets in the way but it's the tires sheer size that screws you. It causes interference with the chain, unless you use a clamshell (which you should not do, they are exceedingly dangerous). Luckily I'm not the kind to bitch without providing a solution. Find a 27.5 with generous fork clearance and get some oversized tires for it. Limited width can be gained with commercially available wide tires but for major width custom wheels and tires can be found which will increase stability while still allowing the chain to clear. Also if you opt for a 29inch in most cases you will have to offset your carb at the very least. A 27.5 Safety Bike frame gives you the easiest installation with a decent amount of parts options and full compatibility with 26in tires and rims.

@@randomweirdo4467 I appreciate the heads up on what would be a potential clusterfuck. I guess if I ever decide to get one, it'll be the Phatmoto off-road. It's already a big tire to some degree, and I won't have to build it. I'm a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, so in most situations, I'd just ride an actual motorcycle. I'm only entertaining this idea because they seemed popular at the time of my comment in the city I'm living in temporarily. It would certainly save on gas and all but delete traffic. Unfortunately, the local police have started cracking down on the 50cc limit and have gotten hip to the fact most people are riding illegally. Their response to the infraction is to immediately impound the bike, log it as evidence to be held until your court date, and buy the time you get one, the impound fees are so high you could buy your moto-bike 3x over. It's probably not worth it. Leave it to the government to ruin any kind of fun or way to avoid them building revenue through gasoline taxes.

FYI that is a motorcycle...with pedals. We have it so good right now with most states calling our bikes motor assisted bicycles. They have limits such as 20MPH and some people follow those rules and other people don't care. I mean sure it's a beautiful motorcycle that will singe off all your thigh hair like the good old days. It's just well outside of what a motorized bike is. We don't have to have a license, registration or insurance but that motorized bike up there is hopefully only for off street use. And btw TAKE OFF THOSE STICKERS!!!! I recently built another bike for myself and got those 10 spoke mag wheels as well but the amount of stickers BBR puts on there is ridiculous. For anyone that's inspired by Ken's build make sure you also buy a freewheel sprocket for your mag wheels. I chose an 18T sprocket and a 36T rear sprocket was included with my BBR red mag wheel set.

I can't wait to build mine this year. I'm not doing a billet case but I am going to do a case reed for my ms660 (56mm) build. But for practice I'm going to build a ms460 (54mm) piston port build. I figured since it's the first couple times I'll be doing stuff like crank balancing and stuff I wanted to try a more basic built with the ms460 keeping it balanced and trued crank but just a piston port. I have a bunch of new ideas to get some of these things done so I can't wait to start on them. Great video, that kinda power is exactly what I'm looking for so I can get my fatness moving away from a light or 🛑 sign faster, and up very steep hills. I'm going to start with a 36t so it can move me up hills and all easily I'm not looking for top speed, I have crashed at speed and I'm just too old to handle another one of them lol. So 45mph is plenty fast as long as it pulls me up hills if I have to I'll go to a 40t but I doubt it with the power I think it will make. Thanks for posting, this is probably the 4 time I have watched this. Lol.
