I Got Screwed By EcoE - This E-Bike Was Supposed To Do 50MPH!

I bought this as well and also reviewed it. I was also waiting on your review. I got the same results you did. On their KZbin channel they are hiding anyone in the comments who tells the truth about the specs of this bike. I cracked it open and looked at the controllers, there is one for each motor. They're listed at 18+/-1. It can push around 900w peak on each motor, so they are likely just standard run of the mill 750w motors. I can second your testing, and it is indeed a 48v battery. As far as I can tell, it's a 13 ah battery, at best. 31 was my top speed.

yeah, the battery is way too weak for an Awd system, it will sag very quickly. I added a 52v 20ah at the back connecter at the rear hub controller and keep the stock battery for the front hub only.

@@LowDoughTech Hi there! I saw your initial impressions and yes this bike is bad in so many levels. I still don’t understand it. Even the charger doesn’t have the output specs listed on it. They tried everything. Besides that it has a smooth suspension, and it came with lots of goodies. It’s a shame. On their video they never tested the bike, to me it was another red flag.

OMG - I almost ordered this bike, but saw the first bad review on Amazon about 20 minutes before I ordered. I ended up going with the Tuttio Adria 24 (actually 2 of them, blue and green), and I love it. But I am a 62 year old miner who has never owned an e-bike before. I did 44 miles on it yesterday on a bike path in PAS 3, peddling about 10% of the time and doing 18.1 mph (speed restricted bike path). I was at 44 of 56 volts when I got home. TY for this AWESOME review. Now you got a project bike - LOL Go get a 72v 12,000w rear hub motor kit - hee hee

I ordered the 5000w ..... after going through the same story, they offered $600 back that a refused, I told them I wanted a free return label (I was not willing to pay the $300 return fee) they emailed me back and offered me $800 that I accepted. the total refund a got was $800 + $52 for the tax. I changed the tires with the soul 26x3 (26psi) and setup a 52v battery for the rear hub

We have to admit it came with a lot of goodies. Mirrors, lock, bottle water with holder, phone holder with usb, horn, turn signals etc. It all seemed so great, until it wasn’t. Lol

@@VernonPGomez look like E26 is battery is undervoltage...try to set P1 to 39 (battery cut off) and make sure P20 is at 48 (battery voltage) I hope that help, keep me posted

Just a quick update on this scam ebike in case you stock with it .... after accepting the $800 refund from ecoe and setting up a 52v 20ah rear rack battery, do a shunt mod on the 2 controllers and adding a 40-ah battery blender, I got 40 mph on gps. the bike cost me $1400 - 800 - 50 for the tax = 550 add 250 for the 52v 20ah battery + 30 for the 30ah battery blender = +/- 850. stock battery 48v estimated 18ah + 52v 20 (battery 2) + shunts mod from 18 ah x2 to (estimate) 20 to 22 ah = the big 40 mph (in winter) do I recommend this bike? of course absolutely NOT. regardless of the price, stay away.

@@juntjoonunya9216 shunt mod is not going to to give you much more top speed but it will help you in acceleration ... the extra 52v battery help with top speed

@@grignonrichard9462 interesting. So how do you know how much extra voltage the controller(s?) can take advantage of? If you were to get a 60v battery instead would it go even faster? And how do you know what the motors can handle? And you need this "battery mixer" to make sure the batteries work together? Can you add two batteries to connect simultaneously to one of the controllers with an appropriate adapter?

60v battery fully charged is too much for this controller, they will blow up, most likely the motor will be fine, andding a second battery will double your range and 52v will increase the top speed a little bit, with not changing everything this is the best this bike can take. Pass that you will need New controller, display, battery etc.. not working

Over the last 10 yrs with all the hype & overpriced bikes, I suspect many manufacturer's have a glut of cheap inventory to dump on society. Cheap labor in assembly as you pointed out but also look for prices to drop fast as they simply try to dump the older equipment. This is like the computer or cell phone scene where every 6 months lots of newer much better stuff is released. BUT what about ALL those other motors/batteries they have in stock? They will dump them on the market in any way that they can. thanks for this video

Most of 48v controller are cap to 60v capacitor sometimes 63v, I first connected the stock battery to the front controller and the 52v battery to the rear controller and then used the battery blender for both battery

What if you change the wheels out to 3" with 36 psi instead of 20 psi and change the gearing so you can help peddle it past 32mph? That's what I'm contemplating

wheel size in the settings is off it needs to be adjusted

wheels diameter is set at 28 P00 press and old the information button (28) will flash, use the negative button and set at (23) it should be okay

@grignonrichard9462 better to calibrate the wheel size using a gps for a set distance... Say 1 mile, and using the odometer set the wheel size so they match

I was about to buy this bike but i knew it was most likely a lie. I had previously bought an amazon bike that claimed 40mph and it went 25, i ended up getting $1000 back and was ok paying the rest of the 600 for it. The bike frame is nice though and 33 mph isn't bad for $800.
