To add onto that, I watched this movie with the DVD commentary many, many years ago. Probably 12+ years ago now. But I remember a lot of the stuff they said. During that scene they talked about how you’re supposed to put oil on your nipples if you’re waxing over them because it can actually rip your nipple off. Steve Carell actually opted not to use the oil on his. I forgot why though. All I remember is that it was tied in to the conversation they were having about the reaction being genuine. I could be remembering this incorrectly, but I think he was saying stuff to the effect of him not thinking it was going to hurt as bad as it did.

Me and a friend of mine watched this movie a ton of times back in the summer of 2006, and I remember re-playing the part where he says that while I got all my laughs out. I love this movie! This was me until 30. I was sick a lot as a kid, like deathly sick in the hospital for months and miss half of freshman year kind of sick... After missing half of the entire freshman year, I was VERY isolated in school... Before I got sick I had plenty of friends, went to parties drinking every weekend, then after I got sick I couldn't drink alcohol... So no more parties, which made me even more isolated. After high school I just kind of did NOTHING... Didn't get an education, didn't have a job, no girlfriend. NOTHING. Then I got a job, ended up getting a girlfriend at 30, who I lost my viginity to! So I wasn't quite a 40 year old virgin, just a 30 year old one. I've now been very happily married to that girl for 12 YEARS NOW!!! It just reminds me a lot of this movie, how Steve Carrell loses his virginity and then marries the girl, to live happily ever after!

I think there are a lot more virgins than people give credit for, and I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the people self-reporting in data aren't always telling the truth. Regardless, the number actually continues to grow with time I think. It's perfectly fine for the most part, though I agree that one thing it's an indicator of is that you're missing out on the fun! I don't think people should be shamed at all for waiting until their ready, especially if they're perfectly willing to please their partner in every other way to give each other org*sms, which obviously is the main thing. Neuroatypical people will also have a problem with the "rituals" required to go to bed with someone, which is a whole other thing. I just don't think there needs to be a stigma around it.

It's all good dude. You don't have to pressure yourself to do anything before you're actually ready. That being said, I definitely recommend getting yourself out there and trying to find the person that you trust enough to do it with. Be patient with dating apps, it can sometimes take a while and a LOT of matching to find that person because of male/female ratios, but it does happen. Just look up videos on KZbin for advice on how to create a strong profile. Once you have that, make sure that when you message a girl on those apps, you don't just say "hey" or something simple, but try to have an interesting comment based on the content of her photos or profile.
