Awesome one buddy! I actually raced mine on dirt with a bunch of larger rc trucks, and it held it's own very very well on the regular tires. Fantastic, and very capable little car.

This will be my first car in 15 years. Used to ride Nitro mostly. I know electric is faster, but it might feel slower? Ever installed a digital FPV camera on a rc car before? Like a walksnail or DJI video system so you can ride in “first person?

Awesome! It might feel slower because it’s smaller than most nitros. I’ve only done one nitro and I don’t think I got that feeling but it’s possible. I have not yet installed a true FPV camera. It’s on my list.

My 14303 came with a defective servo so I had to buy a king Val servo off Amazon. It’s a great upgrade. I noticed it made the 14303 preform much better than my stock 14301. When it comes to which one I prefer, I like the look of the 14303 better but the 14301 body is made out of tank armor. It refuses to break. My 14303 smashed to bits on the first pack. Love the video bro👍✌🏼

These servos are pretty terrible. Glad you found a good one. They went with what feels like pvc for the body on this one. So many manufacturers are using it now and it just explodes so easy. We need more lexan like the 14301!! Thanks man!!

I popped a rear arm on only my 4th battery. You have a lot more experience with the durability of these. Do you think an aluminum upgrade is worth while? I'm thinking lower arms and knuckles only.

I would definitely avoid aluminum arms. All that does is transfer the impact load to something else even more expensive and difficult to replace like diff housings or bent chassis. Metal knuckles I think are a good idea, but not too much else.

I have the infraction style hyper pro 1/14 scale.. Yes these are the best built cars imo... Can you tell me if i could make my truck just a little wider? Hex extension you mentioned..how much wider can i make with these? Any cons? I do not want to change arms..a little wider would be great if it does not cause issues...thanks for sharing..i also like these hyper pro colorful rally cars for sure..

I have that one too. I’m actually doing a video now with wider arms on this car lol. I use hex extenders too. Problem with hex extenders only is it will likely cause a lot of tire to body rub. You would need to cut off alot of the wheel arches so the tires didn’t hit with suspension movement.

Nice! Definitely recommend 3s. Takes practice to drift it nicely, but so worth it once you get it!

If you run 3s, beware of the spur gear. Mine stripped from running nothing but 3s for 5 weeks. I also ran larger tires which likely didn't help.

Thanks bro man!! 😃 I haven’t shopped for every part, but I don’t see many complaints on parts availability. Amazon, eBay, and Banggood, plus AliExpress all have parts. And many of the parts can also be bought through Bezgar, which uses all the same exact parts lol so I haven’t had an issue with their parts yet. What type of car you looking for? Drifting, jumping?

@@DerbyCityRC just a little jumping 4wd basher. Get the bashing fix at home and toss in the van. (Terrorize my employees at the shop 😈) Originally thought Teton or Grom and eventually do brushless upgrade but then was introduced by YOU to the wonderful world of less expensive brushless beasts like HyperGo. I just always been afraid of anything but expensive big names. Didn’t know any better. Got a local hobby shop close by that of course almost always has any Traxxas/Latrax/RPM part needed on the wall. 🤔🤔🤔 Would love a recommendation and maybe guidance when you can. 🙏🙂

It comes with some screws and the screws go into the holes in the fan shroud and then into the grooves on the motor heat sink.

This problem with stones entering the steering link is very annoying. My 14302 broke the servo gear in less than 4 minutes of use. The problem is that I tried to replace the servo but it was inverted and there is no way to fix it with the transmitter. I tried replacing the transmitter and rx with another hobby grade but then I lost the light functions (The turn signals are constantly flashing and ch3 only switches the side that flashes ) I bought another original servo, it will take some time to arrive and I know they are fragile now, apparently I will never drive this car on the dirt road again.

Do you happen to know if it has low voltage cut off for 3s lipos? Side note the throttle lag is not the controller/reciever. I put my futaba set up in it and the lag still persists.

This was the perfect video for these cars. Insanely fun for the money, but finnicky to keep them running. I'd definitely get one if you're considering, but upgrade the plastic geared servo and get a dust net as soon as you can. Awesome video as usual and looking forward to the super secret surprise! 👀👍

Thanks! Yes a dust net would work nicely if it doesn’t interfere with the already not best steering linkage 😄 Luckily we got some steering improvements in the super secret special surprise 🤣 And with the stock servo even!

Yea just took mine out with 3s today😐 oh boy, I need a new skidplate already and 50% sure i damaged the turning servo but the tumbles were worth it If someone sees this message and knows please let me know, I managed to bend both my rear hub locking pins and am having difficulty finding them without 2 month’s shipping 😐 anyone know any suggestions that won’t compromise the metal? or what the actual official store is for hyper go? Man I LOVE the Panther. I’ve got a video on it from early this year or late last year and the newer model called the HNR Werewolf. People don’t like it because the gyro is reversed from the factory so if you don’t recalibrate it (very easy) it drives terrible. Thanks man!!!!

I did do a project video on my 14303 where I widened the suspension and then added those bigger wheels, but that’s the only way I got them to fit. Kinda silly but it was crazy lol

i went for the jugular , the king of all 14th scale RC , LC RACING EMB range . EMB-RA RALLY , EMB-1H BUGGY , and the EMB-TGH TRUGGY 👌 , and instead of the FTX STINGER AKA ( HNR PANTHER ) i went for the HSP HISPEED GT 3S on road racer touring car 👌 . Also my 24th scale CARISMA GT24 RALLY CARS modded with a lot bigger 2S lipo are also as fast as the MJX hyper go rally on 2S 👌 .

I wouldn’t go off what batteries it comes with because you can always get batteries. I’d get the car you want. I will say i definitely prefer this 1/14 chassis over the 1/16. Plus this is a drifter, while if I remember right, the 16207 is a buggy, so kind of just what you prefer. For me it would be this one.

My wife and I did get the chest and head gear but no camera for the head gear bc the phones want to move bc of the weight of the phones. I need a camera but low on funds at the moment. I have the 2997a coming on Monday. I chose that from one of your videos bc I wanted something with a CENTER DIFFERENTIAL! Lol. Thanks dude! Well I actually recorded AND edited everything on my iPhone 12 for 2 years until I finally got an action cam and an editing computer. I used the app InShot, and I used this to hold the phone lol amzn.to/3yuf6Ic It also uses suction cups for the screen to hold it in place and I have a metal phone case so it’s heavy af. lol worked great that whole time.

Ya the harder rubber tires seem to wear out a lot faster. Those are on my next mod video of this car. This uses the exact same tires as both other drifters they’ve had before. I will be on the hunt for some better tires around the same size for sure.

Love my mjx trucks, the 14301 is definitely my favorite she's a beast, but I wish there was more options for tires, the grippy ones that come with them work great but at over 40 bucks a set they don't last very long at all on 3s maybe get for or 5 good runs and they are junk... maybe relay that to them for me see what they do lol

the servo on mine got a metal gear upgrade first thing, and that servo saver is in such an annoying spot those 1/10 tires, part 6081? last set I got for $3usd are mounted on my metal TE37+ rims $10usd

Yes the servo saver is on a terrible spot lol. I have an upgrade/mod video on this car coming pretty soon and I found an easy fix for it. I did other things, but putting some small spacers underneath the servo mount to raise it up maybe 1/8” helped a lot. I don’t recall the number on those tires but so far so good!

​@@DerbyCityRC they look like it. i've also tried 6087, they're a fair bit harder, so wear quicker. the 7005 rally blocks are one of my favorite 1/10 tire ;)
