This is really impressive work, great job! I have a question though, how much does it weight at take-off? There are strict rules for drones in the U.S., and those over 249g need a test certificate and FAA registration, for example. This model looks huge and really solid, I'd expect it's way over this threshold.

Hi and thank you! Weigths approximately 1.5kg unfortunately. I will design a lighter one in the future :)

Even just lifting 1.5 kg is impressive in itself :-) I kinda doubt it would be possible to 3D-print a drone in under 249g though, you'd likely need to make all the elements much smaller and thinner and it would have a dramatic impact on their strength. As long as you embrace the fact that it's over the limit, the FAA requirement is really not a big deal.
