MK Lion Pride Prepares for Invasion as Conflict Escalates | Love Nature

The Nomads, a rampaging group of four young male lions, are looking for a pride to take over. Prowling the western bank of the Luangwa River, they have already fought with the Hollywood Pride lionesses in the north and are now heading south into the territory of the powerful MK Pride. A hunting party of MK lionesses keeps them at bay but their ruse will only last for a few days.

I love lions, especially the males. Although, there is almost always a female that understands what must be done for all occasions. This film also has me appreciating the females throughout the pride as I have never heard of the female offering their bodies, so to speak, for the taming down males that are dangerous and doing so when not in estres! WOW! . They all are, but 3 nomads are really strong. I've read a little about a group of 5 mature lions laying waste to a number of prides, killing many lions. But the female do their part in confusing the male lion's intentions. Blows me away that they can and will use this trick against the invading males. OUTSTANDING!!!

This proves lions have a form of sentience. They can plan ahead, and carry out plans and communicate those plans with each other. I wonder how many other people have yet to realize this… it proves my case fir animal intelligence! It all started with a dog i raised from a puppy, his name was Luke Skywalker (yeah so I’m a Star Wars fan!) and he never forgot anything i taught him. Without any explanation, he understood the word “dead” and until I made plain to him that he would not actually die, i could not get him to “play dead” as a trick. He could also talk human quite clearly… animals, a lot more than we know of, are sentient!

Yes taking down Buffalo 8 v1 compared to male lions who have to fight other male lions which is much more dangerous. Not to mention most times when nomads invade theyre in large coalitions up to 4 or 5 males(also males hunt for food too)

They keep talking about the nomads but I don’t know why they would try to take over this MK pride when Hollywood pride has no males, so it would be easier for them. Also they look pretty young based on the manes even if they are sexually mature so I don’t know if they want to take over a pride yet. But of course we want them not to a pride takeover now that there is cubs. And maybe the narrator knows what we don’t if the narration was done after the fact of some future events?

I love when two lions, so demeaning and rugged show their emotions. They go from vicious and ferocious at fighting for their pride to sad and depressed and then dejected and lost. Then he calls out in desperation...then sees his brother. Then they head bunt and rub faces. Reminds us they aren't just killing machines. They are beings with emotions just like me

Omg the bonds between these big cats is simply awe inspiring!!!! They are so complex, having humanlike emotions. I watched a documentary about a solitary lioness, and it said she was literally depressed from lack of social interaction, and even kept an impala calf (instead of eating it lol) she kept it as a COMPANION!!! My entire heart broke watching it! Especially when a rogue male snatches in and stole it, and the lioness looked visibly sad, but obviously couldn’t do anything bc she’s no match for male lion she doesn’t know, that would ABSOLUTELY kill her. Ugh I love BIG CATS!!!!!!🤎
