Lionesses are brilliant in the lengths they will go to secure their prides. I find it amazing that they will mate with several males in a coalition so the cubs could be any one of theirs, therefore adding safety for their cubs.

they are still pretty young. Their manes will develop more as they grow and then when they fight and win battles, their testosterone goes up and the manes get darker.

Ava has a tick issue it looks ? Any help possible ? I got one in my early twenties hiking into a bass pond up in area that resembles your area in this video in Calif and didn’t have a match or know at the time it was a tick and rubbed my side thinking it was a itch to have scratched it out , I know the issues that can arise and had gotten later years the West Nile virus and it went bacterial and I thought I had a bug and lost a lot of weight I didn’t have to lose and had a fever but found some antibiotics and hit it hard and felt slightly better and everyday got a frozen milk jug and hiked the river for hours and recovered , nothing to play with , Mosquitoes out playing football with the kids where they were worse than ever .

The male lion died a few years back, I believe of illness, so there were no males to take over the pride. They've been without a male since and all their surviving cubs have grown up, with the lionesses joining the pride and the lions being driven off (so they do not mate with their mothers and sisters.)

@@remeroseragasa No, The MK pride have the two old lions called the 'Punks' as their leaders - They are getting on in years, thats why the nomads tried to challenge them for the bigger pride and the better hunting grounds. Fortunately for the Punks, they were able to beat the leader of the nomad group, so then the nomads decided to head back up to the Hollywood territory

I don't think the Hollywoods would have settled if not for the fact that they had four brothers. It took the entire group to convince the females that they were up for the challenge. And it apparrently took 3-5 months to win them over. Think about that. They didn't have sex until 3-5 months. That's longer then many humans nowadays.
