he is easily one of the strongest characters in the mkverse, only behind legit godlike beings if written properly. especially old timeline ermac. man was soloing the entire herocast(sonja, johnny, jax, kung lao, kitana, maybe more) when they were mind controlled by onaga while lui kang's ghost was trying to fix the brainwashing. and even in mk9 he actually got alot hype every time he was shown. man always appeared as a final boss. showed up after kintaro and again in the cyber sub chapter after goro and kintaro. mkx just ruined him but mk1 redeemed him a little imo. man was kicking everybody around in his intro XD

I like how this Ermac is more good than evil, which makes sense since all of the souls within him are good as Baraka confirmed in the MK 1 story. I personally prefer the good/redeemed Ermac over evil, blindless loyalty to Outworld Ermac. 1st Timeline Ermac and Liu's timeline Ermac FTW! I also love how ever since Deception Ermac always refers to himself as "We". Such an interesting and unique character. He's easily always been my favorite ninja.

@gaelofariandel6747 In his gameplay trailer today, Reptile says to him in his clash "You've changed since we've met" Ermac's responce"We believe in the better" So I'd say he's more good than bad or neutral honestly but under his own terms. He also talks sh*t to Shao, clearly not a fan of him so I definitely don't see Ermac being bad this time at all. I think he would help the good guys if it serves the greater good, Baraka confirmed the living forest in this timeline are full of good souls not evil, they may be conflicted but definitely not evil so there's also that.

@@Honcat_ru The first timeline is Midway's timeline, the second timeline onward was NRS though it was technically a soft reboot as it didn't go all the way back to the very, very beginning of everything just to the first MK tournament. Everything that happened prior to that was the same as the first timeline. But yeah this was definitely it's own thing, the Elder Gods were far weaker in this timeline in Onslaught, Shinnok and Raiden never worked together and that stuff with Scorpion and Drahmin's mask was never a thing.

c'mon don't y'all know already that if a character dies in the story mode it doesn't disqualify them for the next game?? just look at baraka he died in mkx and came back for mk11, mileena died in mkx and came back in mk11, sindel and shao both died in mk11 and came back for mk1, even if it's a factor of the lore where the time line resets/collides it still doesn't make sense for them to permanently remove them from the games, especially when sindel's one of the more popular ones within the community, plus in the og time line she is brought back to life by kitana and jade so maybe that could happen again.

LSS: In the original timeline Ermac was an elusive ninja in which he had only ever appeared at certain times and has almost nothing known about him. In the NRS timeline (MK9-11) Ermac is a being created by Shao Kahn and is composed of hundreds, thousands, possibly even millions of souls across Outworld and even other realms. In Ermac’s MK9 ending, King Jarrod was revealed to be one of the many souls trapped within Ermac. Jarrod was able to fight for control over Ermac and was successful. He then rules Edenia alongside his wife, Sindel and daughter, Kitana. Liu Kang’s timeline took a similar approach, however, this time he is created by Quan Chi, instead of Shao. Jerrod once again is one of many souls trapped and after being beaten by his daughter Mileena, he’s able to take control. After her death, Sindel’s soul was able to be rescued by her husband and stored in Ermac’s very being. Her and Jerrod must fight a never ending battle for Ermac’s control as the many other souls also vie for their control over Ermac. Still long wasn’t it?
