Hi there. Any spare shop will sell the speedo drive you need. Remember white is 5 speed and red is 4 speed.

hi! :) I have a problem with my speedo too, it doesn't counts the distance, so I can see what speed im at, but a km doesn't count, its the same problem? or something inside the clock? thanks! have a nice day!!

Hi there. Yes your problem is inside the speedometer cluster, you are going to have to replace it. Problem is very hard to find old cluster for mk1.

If my Speedo is reading 7-10% high, could it be due to the cable/gear? Or am I wasting my time going that route?

Hi there. Your speedo is always 10 kilo meters out that comes factory std. Don't think there's anything wrong with your speedo cable..sorry for only replying now.

There are 3 kinds of gear with 15, 16 and 17 teeth. Maybe you just have the wrong one
