Thank you so much. The goal is to make lore for both sides, be informative and compare for fun. Unfortunately these types of videos get bad traction and it does take a lot of effort. I thought I'd still give it a shot but its doing as I'd expected so these will be more rare. However, I will still do them occasionally and I appreciate your comment

man the underdawg vid he put out today was Not It LMAO im so glad this vid came out as a palette cleanser its really hard for me not to be biased toward mk1 reptile because mk1 is the first time i ever looked deeply into mk lore. however there is a lot about DA syzoth that i think is really interesting and its hard not to see the charm in his story there too. i think both versions are sympathetic for different reasons and i would honestly be so down if they made like an animated mk movie ala cagematch or snowblind that featured a reptile that was more akin to his old iteration. as much as i really like the direction hes going in in mk1, i honestly see the potential for them to kinda sorta rework old plotpoints in new ways. with how syzoth and ashrah are a couple now and with how ashrah and nitara are rivals, i could honestly see a storybeat where nitara tries to use him against ashrah in some way shape or form. as for onaga, with how its said that shao is turning zaterrans against mileena so that they fight in his rebellion, and with how shao has that big plotpoint with onaga, i could also see syzoth getting caught in the middle of the zaterrans and shao and onaga becoming a direct threat to syzoth again. though i guess that would also depend on what they do with onaga this time since he already has a body and wont need syzoth as a vessel. these are just some spitball ideas off the top of my head to go with what you addressed in your video but as someone who spends a lot of time writing reptile fanfiction, i have a lot more ideas for him just in general. this was a really fun watch, thank you for making it!

A Reptile focused movie to expand the animated quadrilogy of MK movies would be pretty cool. Whether it's based on the Reptile in the other films or they just rework the character into the movie to be more like his MK1 self. 🦎💚

Wow, you made a great point here. I could see Nitara being linked to modern Reptile somehow now it would make for a good call back. Also its really cool of you to be able to look back and share your thoughts on the older Reptile while being biased to the new. Thats what is so fun uploading these and sharing comments imo. The Nitara/Cyrax thing is so fascinating to me. Reptile was so pissed off. For the record, Reptile devolving is canon. Not that canon is particularly solid for MK.

Hell yes another fan who loves the plot, also I knew it was canon and I think its cool/creative so I had to mention it. I like how they tied side quests into big events, or just big for the character, like Cyrax trying to get home and putting his trust in Nitara

Designwise I love MKDA Reptile more probably because its the most Beast like he's been, not counting his latest alt. Reminds me a bit of the Lizalfos and Dinolfos from The Legend of Zelda. Storywise i like the new reptile more, i always wanted to see him on the good side as his tragedy was always his unfair status of wanting to serve as opposed to any freedom. Presumably we don't see him in MK11 because in his X ending he found a colony of Zaterrans living in earth and he joined them. A neat end to his original arc atleast.

MK1 Reptile is PHENOMENAL, design, gameplan, story, EVERYTHING! Don't get me wrong, MKDA Reptile was excellent, but MK1 Reptile is the best. It's the best Reptile ever with MK Armageddon Reptile being REALLY CLOSE 2nd, and the story is super flashed out in MK1, and everything in MK1 makes perfect sense for Reptile. This is the beginning of the new era, we don't kneed to know all the stuff about Reptile in one game, just like we didn't know about Reptile being able to devolve into a lizard in the original timeline until MKDA after 4 games. But we got in MK1 is already very well flashed out.

I don't dislike the full-on lizard version of the character like a lot of fans seem to, but I still think the original is the best version. Just a reptilian warrior hiding in human form. That, or the Shaolin Monks design. Where it looked like he was starting to shed his human skin.

Tbh I love his human form in mk12 but I also love his lizard form in DA, Shaolin Monks, MK9 and MKX and his lizard form in 12 looks very generic they should’ve made his lizard form just like DA while also wearing the costumes that you equip too in that form.
