Not just you. Aside from graphical enhancements, MK1 is a step back visually in so many ways. I can see why so many say MK1 looks like injustice, with how wide and flat it appears. Hard not to see this with the side by side comparisons.

MK1 looks so flat and boring in comparison, despite graphical improvements. Also too many characters look alike, the artist were better on the characters in MK11, by far!

I hate hearing these MK1 reviews where people just repeat what NRS says about how Kameos are fundamentally going to change the gameplay. We had assist aleady in previous MK game modes. How is that 4 years of development. It just looks like a bunch of copy paste to me.

@@quatreraberbawinner2628 I'm saying there is a massive difference if you know your stuff. I cringe so hard whenever I see ya'll denying the obvious 😒. Smoothless, lighting, contrast, texture, saturation, colors and every other aspects that matter to make a visual better. It is significantly different 😮‍💨 It's like comparing MK9 to MKX graphic kinda leap, and the fact that only few characters and stages are shown is already a better improvement from the previous series says it all, imagine the rest.

@@SteviusM Yeah MK1 camera is panned out a bit to make more room for kameos. Same as Injustice because they're superheroes and they could fly and do all sorts of crazy acrobatics lol

Bigger and better. The camera also moves better so the levels have far more dimension because of this. MK1 moves laterally, and MK11 seems move more in an arc.

Textures and lighting aside, MK11 looks better. All the Asians especially. MK1 has them back to looking generic, the males all almost look like the same people.

They went from a modified Unreal Engine 3 to Unreal Engine 5... I believe that's what Ed said when talking about why they went from MK11 to MK1 instead of Injustice 3.

True! He also mentions that they needed 2 years to learn the engine, which meant a new Mortal Kombat would only come out 2025. So they decided to skip IJ3 and go straight to the next MK

Yee, it's Unreal 4 but he said the lighting was a huge step up, which. Almost looks identical to CG trailer, especially Liu Kang in my opinion.

mk11 have peaked graphics for a fighting game so there is nothing they can do much take a look at tekken and sf they look shit

@@mursaleensaleem1806 Agreed, but fatalities, intro dialogues, characters designs, x-rey attacks - all those things were more about creativity than graphics itself, and honestly MK1 could look like MK11 for me, I just wanted all above things to be even improved somehow. Except Liu Kang, maybe Sub-zero and stages everything here looks like a downgraded version of MK11 sometimes. Sonya is a fucking joke here... let see what they show next...
