My 82 MK2 Celica Supra with 1UZFE swap revving with its new exhaust on it!

Hell yeah man this is cool. I've been looking for a 1UZ in my area but I just can't find one. I bought my 82 after it has been sitting for 15 years, it started right up but the fuel pump quit, fuel leaks everywhere. After I fixed all that the first time I got her up to 6,000 RPM I blew the motor.

Did you have any issues with the oil pan in the way / any clearance issues? I'm super interested in doing a similar swap (hopefully room for a turbo/twin turbo set up)

I'm doing this swap in my 83' now. I will be posting some videos here soon of the process if you wanna subscribe to my channel. You will need a front sump engine such as the ls400 to clear the subframe. Then Xcessive Manufacturing has the engine swap brackets for $100. I just order mine tonight along with new rubber lower mounts, a timing belt kit, and a engine gasket kit.

Drift like butter I have about $2K into the swap. I bought the car with a blown 5M so it makes more sense that way. It isn't as easy as a 7M or 2JZ swap but it still isn't bad. It isn't an ultimate power setup that a turbo could be but with the extra weight saving from an all aluminum engine and the torque from a V8 the car moves along quickly still
