No not the 900 lol..Right here we have a Garret 900 turbo..900 horsepower right now..Ok I'm so bringing my 1.8t to you ..I got to have a 900 turbo..My turbo is a itty-bitty weed eater sized KO3S..It literally fits in your pocket .What is this? Lol..really..The way this thing is electronically limited is dumb..Comes in around 2200 rpm and dies at 3000 rpm..This is dumb..No this isn't working for me..I got to have a 900 turbo..

I had plans to have my motor built by CO motorsports in 2024 but due to the carjacking crime spree in st.louis I'm forced to use the money to get reinsured and pay deductibles but my wife is alive and the car was found then sent to the body shop but CO Motorsports is cheering me up with content!!!

I learn lots from all your videos. I'm no mechanic, yet I grew up building RC's and Bicycles. So far I've done 90% of my own auto stuff. I'm curious if you keep the "VVT" with your high hp builds? I've witnessed other tuners eliminating it, Ford's mainly. I did find someone doing it to a VR6. My goal is 1000hp VR6 12v. Would a tubular manifold benefit much more over a log? I've read mixed opinions. Love your content.

1000hp you want tubular over log. Log typically can't flow enough or is poorly designed for big power. As for vvt, comes down to goals most big power goals have no need for vvt.

Love all the crazy builds you’ve done and love the Chanel I just wanted to ask what would you do wanting more power from a tsi mk6.It’s FBO on meth which is not working right now but running 19 pounds on the stock ko3 and tappers down but I want to go ko4 but don’t want to do big turbo because I don’t have the money or time to upgrade internals,any information would be great

Top mount makes the downpipe a pain, however they both have their ups and downs honestly. This is cleaner all in all.

Great content as always. You never mentioned the support bracket for the angle drive that secures the end of the drive to the block. I am assuming you are fitting this bracket at some point. With the power and torque that will be making it needs all the help it can get. How big an exhaust are you planning 3.5 inch?

Yes as you can see this is all just mockup stuff. Exhaust is 3" we may do a 3.5" downpipe to help due to the exhaust but we've made 700whp on 3". The external gate/dump tube helps a lot.

Liked the style of video. On our CO Motorsport drag car. Could you cover the new electronic wastegate from I think turbo smart? If you would consider that route. Benifits no CO needed and almost perfect positions for control. Disadvantages more electrical load and very big gate

Yeah there's a bunch of perks, I just don't have enough hands on experience with them to give solid recommendations or feedback. I'm not like the average person that thinks just because I bought something that it's automatically the best. Lol I need to make that call after dealing with it first. However it checks all the right boxes for me so I'm hopeful.

It all comes down to packaging. You're not making straight runners out and having a turbo sit behind the engine.

Haven't pushed a stock engine mk6 R with aftermarket turbo. But APR for example offered a turbo kit that would make ~450whp on good fuel.

Hey I own a mk5 gti. I Need some guides My oil balance shaft went bad. And I know to change it you gotta take the motor apart. So might as well rebuild it for better performance But idk if I should buy the OEM balance shaft or try to convert it to 1.8t what would you recommend me?

unrelated, but is an is20 or is38 turbo upgrade a good idea for daily reliability on a b7 passat with an auto transmission? i believe the trans is an O9Q, and ive seen online that theyre not meant to hold power above ~250hp.

Never done one on that vehicle, but I've done them on Auto MK7 Golf 1.8Ts and your trans has to be better than those, and those hold fine.

There's no benefit IMO for upgraded intake manifold on stock turbo TSI.

I have a question not related to the video but you might be able to help me out. Just professionally installed a DTR 6054 kit with software and is now pulling an error code for EPC, APR themselves cannot figure it out also the mechanics currently working on the car. The car was brought back to stock ECU and TCU and then re-flashed with the DTR software...still having the same problem....any ideas on what it might be???

The EPC light can be caused by lots of codes. You need to know the code(s) thats causing it.
