I swear blue lights are illegal because they look like emergency vehicles

Yeah you might be right, I wired mine with spade connectors so can easily disconnect them if need be. They never come on while driving as they're wired to the footwells (off when driving on when opening the doors or unlocking the car). I'll be honest i'm not 100% sure of the legalities so I'll need to look into it before deciding whether to use these for show use only. I've got these on mine (done by previous owner) but not in blue, yours look great btw. I also have puddle lights which look great at night.

Thanks 👊🏼, what colour are yours🤔 ? I've seen puddle lights before they look really good, I actually tried to fit some while I had the door cards off in this video, but realised I have different wiring inside my door (I've got an 05 plate).

Hello, I have a 09 Jetta and they do not have puddle lights under the side mirror. Where would I connect the blue cable in order to activate the blue led turn signal? Can you go into detail on how you connected it? or make a video about it? thanks

sick video brother, they look sick, do they turn off when driving or does the blue light always stay on , puddle light should defo be the next mode

Thanks bro 👊🏼, they turn off when driving - blue effect only runs when you first unlock the car or open the door - otherwise always off. (Same as footwells) , also used spade connectors on the wire for the blue light so you can disconnect it if need be. I actually tried puddle lights, but I think I've got a gen1 door harness (my cars an 05 plate) so couldn't get them to work - I'll need to do some more research into the wiring for the module. If you search up a KZbinr called Alex Hus, he's got a very good video installing puddle lights.

If ur car have retractable mirrors then connect green wire to it and if it doesn't have that system connect blue wire to positive wire with in ur car thank me after 10 more month ago

@@iliasali1610 buddy if u don't have retractable mirrors then connect that wire with positive in your car door panel from which it will get the power to ignite that drl and if u have car with retractable mirrors then connect that drl wire with it and it will ignite but if you don't have retractable mirrors then you will open Ur door panel and then u will connect drl wire with it and both of Ur lights will start working anymore questions u can ask thank you

If you watch this video you'll know how I wired my footwell LEDs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rl6VipZnecdqaKs I just spliced the LEDs red wire with the wire from the indicator - if you search on KZbin joining two wires together there should be some good videos. Good luck!

@@HimiJ I’m just thinking from a MK5 GTI owner, and I wouldn’t do this to mine. Don’t get me wrong there’s somethings that look great but I like to keep my GTI stock. Great content as always mate.👍🏼

Yeah 100%, everyone has their own preferences. The Mk5 GTI is grown up and doesn't suit a lot mods - there is a fine line with these cars. I've actually removed mods in the past, not sure how I feel about these yet. My main priority now is to get new mirror caps - I fitted cheap carbon ones in this video and they're definitely going 😂.
