Thanks for watching - I've updated the description. The head unit is called the RCD330 it is oem VW and used in the Asian market so it's very good - I bought mine from eBay with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay - this is the seller I bought from rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F332175494766 Be careful with what one you buy as some include CarPlay and/or Android Auto and some don't. Worth making a best offer to get it cheaper or bidding on one as this seller has a lot up for auction.

Great work. The footwell lights are a good look. I also like the Mk6 switches that you added; I might bite that idea too coz my switches look absolutely ratty. The head unit you have is proper; I especially like that yours has the AUX input. Mine is *similar* - it's the one which has Map and Navigation... but it doesn't have the AUX input which really annoys me!!! I saw a suggestion someone made on your other video about getting a Mk6 steering wheel fitted... You thought about it?

@@HimiJ Just looking at a Mk6 steering wheel on a breakers site right now for £48. Some signs of cosmetic wear on the leather. I want to do something about my seats too; they're not TOO bad... but man some leather ones would be awesome! Probably out of my budget though! I'll just end up giving them a deep clean when we have some sun to dry them out.

Picked up mine pretty cheap - but bought it under boosting luckily nothing major fixed by replacing the DV, PCV and resealing the vacuum pump. Mileage and bodywork along with the colour sold it for me. You can pick GTI's up in the UK for under 3k. But you're looking at 3k+ for a clean example. Thanks for the support!

I went to the junkyard today and I was wondering about the light switch my jetta 07 doesn't have the auto lights does the switch still work? And can I install a factory stereo from a newer jetta to my 07.?

I don't think the switch will work, but not 100% sure. Pretty sure the radio should fit and work as pretty much all the radios have the exact same connector, again not 100% sure 🙏🏼

Yes, best radio in my opinion for the mk5 , had it for over 2 years with no problems. Just have to be careful with model numbers when purchasing as there are cheaper remakes out there. From what I've heard avoid the rc360 and any one that doesn't have an aux port.

It is a GTI. All the Mk5 GTI have an FSI engine they started calling the engine TFSI later.
