Good progress, but whilst the front end was off you should have just changed the radiator at the same time. Will save lots of time in be long run. 😊

@flight89swan you are so right, I so wish I had thought about changing the radiator & the ac condenser whilst I was in there. I have since replaced the ac condenser.

I'm in the process of looking for an s3 intercooler as it turns out the cfs aluminum radiator will not fit the APR or IE upgraded intercooler. I haven't tried a CTS one as I'm not willing to spend 700 just to see. And the cheap ebay ic while massive the it also won't fit, side note those are a great bang for the buck. Not gonna lie having my own a/c machine makes this a alot easier and struggling with the a/c condencer is a lot harder then it looks. I did 2 before I got my machine and they made me hate it.

S3 intercoolers are easily accessible. I just wanted a simple fit & not have to cut things. 700 for an intercooler is a tonne of doe for me at this point but I bet it is a awesome bit of kit

@aguycalledjoe7802 over here the s3 ic is a little hard to find. The cts kit also comes with pipes but I have those already. I might just have to run the stock radiator and then if I come across an s3 later then see if it fits. CFS also didn't have an answer when I called and asked what aftermarket IC it fits. As they said if a stock fits on it will fit but I know that to not be true.

Those damn clip on pipes! I've given up on replacing seals on the charge pipes. Always leak. I've looked at a seller that makes a bayonet so i can clamp on silicone hoses but it seems overkill for a stock gti.

I have noticed quite a lot of people commenting & complaining about these seals. They are not the best idea by VW.

No sorry I do not know the part number, I bought it second hand from eBay. It is just an Audi S3 8P aluminium Intercooler. Hope this helps👍🏿.
