MK6 GTI GETS UPGRADED INTERCOOLER! | ARM Motorsport Intercooler & Stage 1 Tune!

ARM UPGRADED INTERCOOLER ON THE GTI BUILD! More parts came in and it's only right to continue the build and take y'all on the journey as the GTI progresses in preparation to putting down some power and shooting some flames!!!

Did you compare IAT Temps with this vs standard? Just wondering because this is much smaller than standard but the front position will be beneficial vs the larger standard item which is sandwiched inside.

Hey bro you using stock turbo? Do you notice any lag or any issues with getting boost faster

Yes we were running a stock turbo, it really just helps with keeping the IAT down for cooler temps which help long run so you don’t heat soak, but I’d say you can definitely hear the turbo spool a bit more.

flames are sick. wanted to ask, how long did installation take? and how did you guys end up relocating the horn?

Thank you! The installation took us about an hour and a half and that’s because I was filming while installing so I’m sure within an hour you could complete it. For the horn all you need to do is remove the bolt holding the horn to its bracket and flip the horn with the bracket so it points up then use the same bolt to bolt it back up and tighten. Hope this helps.

If I install a intake, exhaust and a blow off valve do I need to install a intercooler as well

Not necessarily, you can install the intercooler later on or opt out but if you plan to tune your car for more power, an upgraded intercooler is essential
