In October 18 I withdrew 8k cash to buy one of these and saw a mk6 one owner on 55 thou local for 4k. I bought it and put 4k back in the bank. It's been a good car. You have to buy one from a hairdresser, one owner, low mileage, unmolested, as soon as you see different wheels, badges, air filters etc, lowered, leave it. Plenty to choose from 👍

I’m a recent owner I found a nice white one 51k miles untouched apart from being stage 1 mountune, now I’m the tosser putting air filters lowering and exhaust on it 😂. I plan on keeping it until it’s dead anyways so won’t be selling it

The cars are actually much better with a stage 1 remap taking them to 215 bhp I had mine done a week ago. It’s a completely different car from what it was. Also on the dyno it was actually 190 bhp before the remap however massively improved now also mountune exhaust and filter now

I bought st2 about 2 months ago no mods onit apart from the stage 1 mountune. Never drove a standard one to compare but the mountune is a little ripper, coming from an Audi a1 1.4 stage 1 this st feels like a rocket

They aren't underrated by the press/owners. They are just universally hated by everyone else. It's the Saxo VTR/VTS of the modern day. Great car, sold loads because they are fab and therefore everyone who hasn't drove one hates on them because they aren't a VAG/Merc/BM

I still have mine - Frost White with full equipment and now with legal H7 LEDs from Philips and black dynamic indicators in the side mirrors. The rest is standard. I could write for hours about how good this car really is in everyday life, but Jeremy Clarkson has already done that. So I'll just say: of all the cars out there, this MK 7.5 is one of the most fun cars ever, because everything is just right. The current used car prices are also so high because the car is becoming more and more popular over the years. I haven't seen any significant loss in value since I bought mine used almost 7 years ago. It was 3 years old then and had not done 25,000 km. Now it has almost 50,000 km on the clock. And I will keep it and continue to look after it until one day it falls apart or I drop dead. As a real FiST owner, that's all you need to say about it. 😎🤙

Being a owner of a mountune st2 ,I can say it's the best b road basher I have ever owned apart from my mr2 turbo many years ago lol , down side is some tosser has already tried to nick it ,leaving me with door handle damage.

200 BHP when on boost and some stage one maps push these ST’s up to as much as 235 BHP and I’ve seen standard ST 180s achieve 0 to 60 in 6 1/2 seconds so I don’t know what you was doing😊
