Okay JB CTR, I came into this video with a negative view towards the new fiesta, just my personal opinion the body looks awful, i loved that sporty focus look the fronts had on the st-3 - ...but after watching your review (the first i've watched of your channel)...I'll give the car this, for what the new lack in looks there is a lovely amount of tech + i heard one of the ST's start up in a showroom and let me tell you, Stock...they're not bad sounding cars Good review, I'll give you a thumbs up and you earnt a sub

Disklok is the most visible deterrent. I’ll probably do a few other bits, but they’ll be hidden. Thieves would already have broken a window before they find out about them, so hopefully the disklok will stop them before they break anything.

I use a Stoplock pro on my Mk7. Hasn't gone missing yet and when I change to the mk8 in November it'll be the best way I can secure it. Get gap insurance too if you're concerned. Not a lot of cost for the piece of mind

Good review the more I see of these cars the more I like them. Been offered a decent deal on a new one but there’s none available locally to test drive plus I’ve been told you’ll have to wait till March the earliest for an ST3 & February for an ST2 which ford are making more of. Going to keep hold of my 65 plate ST2 for now

Thank you, that was a really good detailed video. It has given me a lot of information regarding the options I should tick. Levels of Auto Temp and Heated seats were a good touch. There were some things I was not aware of, I am now, including the spare wheel. One thing you did not mention was the Sat Nav system. I use TomTom at the moment, does it work as good, does it have up to date traffic, how does it update and do you need to pay for updates? Also, you mentioned it connects to Apple devices, does it also connect to android? I know you are very sensibly, running your car in, like I would do also (I bet your power foot is itching lol), but when it is run in, will we see the launch control feature demonstrated? Once, again, thank you so much for a really good video. We would love you to a do a series of videos for our modifed car website, if you want to get intouch.

I believe it has the Android Auto which is the Apple Car Play equivalent, the old Sync version in the older cars doesn't have either. Pretty sure the new one has both.

I couldn't wait to buy my car as I needed it for work, so I didn't get an ST.... however still annoyed they added LED headlights as an option 6 months after I ordered!!! Got every other option though!! Fun Fact: You also can't have a spare tire if you have the Pano roof as it puts the car over the CO2 figures quoted...

If you want fun on the roads, and some spare cash then it will seriously tick all your boxes. Arguably it needs just a tad more power which can be sorted for a few hundred pounds, but otherwise they’re an awesome package. A little secret, I very very nearly put a deposit on an M2 as I bloody love them! But then decided that it wasn’t £20,000 more ‘fun’ that the fiesta. So opted for one of these instead 💪🏼

I read recently that you can get a new key since about April 2019 that goes into sleep mode after 40 seconds. This was also written in the same piece: 'If criminals reach the OBD port, any attempt to plug into the car’s diagnostics automatically initiates a 10-minute software lockdown, while the alarm continues to sound. Repeated attempts to access the system restarts the 10-minute wait period, eliminating the possibility of rapid illegitimate programming of keys for the car via the OBD.' Have you heard anything about this?

Can anyone tell me why the UK ST’s are better than The US versions? Even a Focus ST3 in the states doesn’t even have half of the features this fiesta has for like $10,000 USD more...I can’t wrap my head around this since Ford is based out of the US? Serious question…

dvanaken89 This is the MK8, which has only been out a few months in the UK. I don’t think this model will make it to the US unfortunately. Better spec than the focus as the focus is just about to be upgraded to the latest model too 👍🏼

Chris Hallett My car has the cross traffic alert, but I’m not sure if it is included with BLIS. It’s very average though.. It’s not yet given me any warning of things I’ve not seen. There’s been many many times of it going off and me going ‘What’s that? Oh, nothing.’

Yup they became standard on the ST3 I believe from around that time. Scroll through the menu’s and check the car has launch control. This will confirm it has the diff etc fitted as part of the performance pack. If it doesn’t have launch control, it doesn’t have the diff - that’s the bit you want! 😂

I can’t find anywhere on the internet this information,are your full led dynamic?i mean do they keep the high beam up and create a black square only for the car to protect it from blinding?(like in the Ford Mondeo)

Iulian Mihu Hi there! Nope they aren’t dynamic, but you do have auto-high beam. So it’ll dip the lights when there is an oncoming car. I believe that is on most of the new fiestas however - its not specific to the LED’s 👍🏼

Snooker Naonan My TSR was turned on from factory so I’ve never had to find where it is, to turn it on. I do know it is an option on the ST2 however as part of the ‘driver assistance pack.’ May be worth checking with your dealer if it is fitted to your car 👍🏼

Owned all the previous Fez ST's before moving onto a Focus RS. Loved every second of them. Really don't like the design of the new car though unfortunately. The exterior is very disappointing (although some people say that about the MK3 RS too) and the new iPad style middle display looks so cheap and nasty.

Alex There was some confusion on the original spec sheet about the stitching, but now they are being produced, the ST3 definitely has half leather and white stitching. ST2’s have cloth seats and blue stitching. Lane keeping comes as standard on the ST3, with BLIS being an optional extra. The options may be slightly different on the ST2.

JB CTR I sat in an ST Line a few months ago and what really stood out (apart from the touch screen) was how good the finish was compared to my missus’ 08 mk6. Everything just seemed better quality, Ford have really stepped up their game on these newer cars. Hope your car serves you well mate
