As a Mk8 Fiesta ST owner myself, it's awesome to see you get your hands on one round the Ring! Seeing you drive it round makes me want to bring mine over from the UK and give mine a go even more! The handling is by far its strong point, it makes you realise you don't need tonnes of power to really have fun and enjoyment on a track with such an array of corners.

100% mate me too. I had an Audi S3 before and I felt like all I needed was power, went stage 2 400bhp, now 200 less with the Fiesta ST and it is just incredible how fast it feels. Also manual way more fun

Really great car, you can tell from the speeds Misha is carrying in the corner. Seems like one of the last real hot hatches that beefs upwards of its pretended class. Had the opportunity to drive one, the steering is mega and you get quite a sense of joy in driving it. Props to the owner for having Misha lap it !

I live in the Rockies, and my MK7 is one of the most fun cars I've ever driven. It handles so good in the twisties for a FWD that it kind of boggles the mind. All the power is available and useable on your everyday drives, so even going to the grocery store still puts a big smile on my face. I was so bummed when we didn't the MK8 on this side of the pond. One of the last hot hatches to not have a bunch of electronics interfering with your driving.

I love this chassis so much... I have an E46 325Ci and also a Fiesta mk8 non ST , with 1.0 Ecoboost 140hp with ST Line Package and I was impressed by the car overall performance wise, very very good chassis.

The Figo has the chassis of the older fiesta and even that is great. I drive one and it make be under powered but round corners it’s great. Love my little bite sized hatch

I had fiesta st mk8 for 16 months. Great handling car with good engine. 1.5 3 cylinder but form mid 2019 onwards the engine has 6.1 liters of oil. It's like 3.0 inline 6 let say bmw b58 had 12 liters of oil. Remapping of the car will get additional 40hp. Stage 2 up to 270hp.

Hi Misha, I edit a lot and have learned to always have three backups of your footage - one local, one at a different location and one wherever you feel is another safe place. I have mine on my computer, one backup in a steel cabinet in a different room and one at a friend. Sorry for the lost footage, it happens to the best of us

Tyre pressures were a bit off.. 2bar cold on front is too much for Cup2 on Fiesta ST, and usually the rears should be set to a higher pressure, as they don’t get as hot.

The funny part is, that is still has this terrible windy noise coming from the doors when you hit about 200-210 km/h. (At 4:10 min) I do have the MK7 ST and also have this issue...(I guess like all Fiestas) 😅

I had the previous gen Fiesta ST and it’s still one of the most fun cars I’ve ever driven. I chose it over a Focus ST despite the price being almost the same (bigger discount on the Focus at the time). Shame that Ford killed the hatches in North America :/ The pedal setup was weird too for heel and toe but everyone who tracked their cars put spacers and it became so nice. I feel like the 1.6 4 cyl pushed more once modded than this modded 3 cyl.

Actually modified 1.6 mk7 with stock turbo gives the same performance as stock 1.5 mk8. Great thing about new model is that you don't have to change turbo to get about 260 hp, in the previous gen you'll have to go hybrid turbo for that power.

Did you have it in TRACK MODE? I noticed traction control was on, so placing the car in Track Mode automatically takes off traction control and stiffens the suspension and improves throttle response which is exactly what you want, plus louder and more burbles! The ST3 or Performance pack added the LSD as well which I'm told is a must but I have both the ST180 & MK8, neither with an LSD and still great to drive!

Hi 👋 Misha, He's got cup 2's on this which in the i20N they took one full lap to warm up, you mention tyres and pressures this ST is running 215/45 R17 , standard issue is 205/40 R18 I wonder how much correct pressure and 17 vs 18's would make to the lap? Enjoyed the footage 👍👍

Yeah it's a strange aerodynamic noise the ST makes past a certain speed. I believe it's to do with the door seals but not too sure - I own a mk8 ST myself but never heard it as I've never been above 80mph 😂

Due too the sunroof. The wind is pushed between the seals. It comes around 200 km/u (125mph)
