First of all thank you for taking your time and shooting from all different angles and conditions, very comprehensive! I think it's a good exhaust! Price wise if not the cheapest, but cheaper than most brands. Sounds pretty oem plus which is a good thing because straight pipe or muffler delete never really sound good on this car, just loud. So with this exhaust, it didn't really change the characteristic of the sound, it just kinda adds a bit more bass and bit more volume in my opinion. Even with the pops, it's not like gun shots, which is perfect for daily. As for the drone, I think it's acceptable, it's not in your face. For me the reason I want a exhaust first place is I want to play music and hear the exhaust at the same time. With oe I have to turn down my music to be able to hear my exhaust. So playing music can really solve the drone problem I think. Last thank you again for this informational video.

Any other exhaust you tried on GTI? I want aftermarket that is equivalent to clubsport exhaust in terms of noise maybe just a tiny bit louder than the clubsport.

I’ve only tried this one but I have a buddy with a muffler delete only and it sounds incredible.

I like your videos, they are all very helpful.... but, I have a question for you.... In your opinion, for me, what would you suggest based on what I am going to tell you next? I favor naturally aspirated motors because that is all I have ever owned and I feel like they will be more reliable in the long run. So that would lead me to a Mazda3 Prem H/B with a manual. I have to have a manual. I am somewhat afraid to take a chance on any turbo model but I do like the SI and the GTI. I would prefer the Integra but I am not willing to pay the premium price just to get an SI 1.5L motor and a few amenities extra. If, I bought a GTI, I would want the base S, or the 40th anniv or the SE with a manual. And they are less expensive than the $39k plus change quotes that I have been getting on an SI in the last three weeks from AL,GA,TN and FL dealers. ... My other option would be a Mustang GT with the V8 manual. I found out that Ford is no longer offering the Eco Boost with a manual. Gas expenses would be way higher for a GT but I don't really drive that much any more as I am retired but I still need to travel around 400 miles to visit 3 of my 6 kids. As much as I like the Mustang GT, I am spoiled by good fuel mileage with my current 2006 Mazda3 sedan with a manual. I have had good reliability and enjoyment with it for 17 years now. ... Any suggestive thoughts for me? Anyone is welcome to chime in... Thanks!

The SI and GTI are both great choices in my opinion! Mustang GT would be nice but it’s alot more expensive and would be to own

Warranty isn’t affected unless an exhaust part fails

I’m running a stock resonator with a muffler delete and it’s fire no drone or boomy sounds at all

AWE sounds good but the tips were too big imo. Borla was not out for the US market at the time I got this exhaust and it’s too expensive

I’ve had three gens of GTI and currently a mk7 GLI. Not a MK8 however all have been well Maintained and none were less than stage 2 tuned with intercooler and BO’s and all were solid reliable cars for me. VW is not Honda. Maintain as recommended. Don’t drive until it breaks and you should be alright. And oil changes at 5k if tuned, with plug changes at 15-20k. My experience has been great.
