MK8 GTI Milltek Catted Downpipe Dyno Run // BMP Tuning

‪@MilltekSport‬ has been awesome to work with on this project, and they were kind enough to supply us with their Highflow catted downpipe for the MK8 GTI, so we threw it on and took it to the dyno! Will the Downpipe hurt or help us on power without a REAL tune?

I got that @millteksport Downpipe put on last week and got a custom map 6 from Burger and the torque hits around 375 using the jb4 App (don't have a dyno go use) really happy with the performance !

You're going to convince me to get the dp to add to the milltek cat back I already got from y'all, just may wait to install for when the tunes are out. 1 to 10 how much louder than just the cat back? And how bad is the drone? Did you do the race or sport cat? Also, just put the DTM's on today y'all sent, they look dope! Hard to tell from the graph that it made less than last time and that is odd on mk6 and mk7 platforms you see and feel a gain maybe needs a break in or time to adapt?? Great job keep it up you just got a subscriber!!

for reference on my MK7 (charge pipes, intercooler, catless downpipe, 3" exhaust, intake, turbo inlet, turbo muffler delete, IE PCV) I did 318 whp and 381 tq with the dsg on a Eurodyne stage 2 tune. I wish I would have had the chance to protune it but never did. I love this car and it makes me jealous more and more

yes we just did the JB4 logs and sent them back to them to have some adjustments. With how the car is now, a 60-130 probably wont happen for a while!

Hey @bmptuning, you guys experienced any clutch slipping with the tune or even the DP? I’m on the fence about going DSG or 6spd for the MK8 GTI. I want the 6spd but I feel that VW made no changes on the clutch from the MK7 to be able to handle extra power without changing the clutch.

We had a little bit of slippage on the dyno at our max power level!

Get a DSG, Volkswagen manuals feel robotic and boring , no fun like focus RS/ other cars

Manual is the most fun. Get a Holy Shift kit and you’re good. Clutch later on when tunes are out.
