I was messing about with my cousin's Redmi phone the other day and discovered it had a remote app and an extremely discreet ir blaster. Turns out it's app had remotes for our obscure brand TV, ancient Denon hi-fi and the option to request even more devices! I understand now why Flossy Carter won't let the big manufacturers off for removing such a useful feature!

The fact that tech people are less familiar with HUAWEI/Xiaomi that absolutely dominate some areas even outside of budget group(where you can get OLED/120HZ/8core/8RAM for 200$), create tech like foldables, deeply integrated ecosystems rivaling apple, and wonderous software capabilities and freedom outside of google's reach is kinda sad. I guess its bcs all english content is US-centered, but still, so much tech is just left out and never seen bcs they arent popular or imported into US.

For me the perfect phone has Moto mod style extended functionality. They battery was literally the best feature, but the speaker and projector were very cool. I want the Razer phones Display and form Factor, I want Sony Xperia's 1inch camera shooter and camera software. a head phone jack, and dedicate shutter button . And this is a personal one but the almost unbreakable screen that the moto z2 force had is literally S tier .
