yea i think you nailed this when you launched it. i've had your app since you launched it. i think your approach has been the best. i downloaded mkbhd's and uninstalled it asap cause your approach to design pricing, uniqueness and everyhting else was just way better. I installed Panels yesterday, it wanted me to watch 2 ads for an low-res image and the worst part was the ads somehow override my sound settings and blasted me with the highest volume possible, even the physical volume buttons were invalid. I was quite shocked and deleted the app directly. It gave me the feeling of a mixture of trojan/bloatware/spam. That's why I am more than happy to use your app.

So I bought the year subscription and honestly I thought it was great. I hope yall are paying the artists good money. Just really really hope no AI is being used. But FR the UI is actually really good. (I’ve got one gripe which is being able to scroll through full view, but I think I get why) the pics are honestly lovely. At the end of the day though art is art and I’m happy even in the digital space it’s being brought to us. Also yes! That is a LOT of commitment for a wallpaper app, but honestly- and ignoring all the hate too- i think it is paying off. Personally I used to spend a lot of my time looking for a good wallpaper that matches my Home Screen aesthetic, and when wallpaperz released it was everything I wanted: free high res wallpapers for both my phone and my Mac (although before the website that took a bit of storage space lol). You need to stop promoting your app. I installed it and applied one of the wallpaper to my tablet and the wallpaper ruins the experience in landscape mode as it crops to fits. Your wallpaper is made for phones which is great but you guys need to think about landscape mode as well. Your subscription is also $27 which also is not less considering for wallpaper.

You did this tastefully. Clearly you want to show your app as being better. I think you did that without trying to speak down on his app. You seem to have genuinely lined your apps up against each other and believe your app is a better value. With your app being out for a year, you’ve had more time to improve your product. You also offer a lifetime membership for about 60% of the cost of his annual subscription. Unless he offers a higher quality product within his app, your app does seem to be a much better value. His pay structure seems to be better, which may add to way his cost is higher though.

@ZoneofTech Good comparison as unbiased as you can! I have a suggestion for your wallpaper app which I have used. As much as I love it I think you should really invest in putting some animated wallpapers in it, they don't have to be crazy but just subtle, simple and elegant. Since animated is very expensive make it only available to subscribers have it in mp4 and gif formats so people can use them on any device as they wish. Just my suggestion! If you did decide to implement my suggestion and have some sick looking backgrounds I would subscribe right now. You rarely get to see backgrounds as you're in an app or browser etc so the few times you do see the background it should be alive.
