Tip for future "testing" on foreign tech: check the power consumption of the item you're plugging to your step-down transformer. You guys plugged a 1200W popcorn machine into a 500W transformer. The fact that the transformer didn't pop a fuse is a clear sign that it's not a safe transformer. And the popcorn machine was certainly not being fed the correct voltage and current it needed to work. It could be the cause for it working so bad.

On the last product, kevlar actually isnt cut resistant at all. It's actually just very strong against pulling apart, so the real test would've been to pull the wire and see if it snaps. That's why it's used in bulletproof vests too, because when it's woven into a fabric it wont stretch out of the way of the bullet. Actually,adjusting the equalizer totally IS a magical way to make your music sound better. Lol! I understand that with smart phones and their devices, the EQ isn't actually a real EQ, but if it were, it could DEFINITELY make music sound better. Sik

Why did you need to use a transformer for the plug in products? Was there not an option for the right voltage? For the popcorn machine for example I belive the product needs a wattage output higher than the transformer supports and therefore the smoke and the poor popcorn experience.
