@Leanzazzy2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I used to like Samsung but they're not worth the price (far better alternatives like Xiaomi and Oppo out there) and Samsung has also forced a lot of their own proprietary apps and if you root the phone, you lose access to nearly all of them. Exynos is also way worse than Snapdragon (always has been, but the divide is getting much larger). If you choose a Snapdragon version (usually a US version) your phone comes with a locked bootloader, which locks you out of so many things. There is a Chinese variant with Snapdragon and it has an unlocked bootloader, but good luck trying to get your hands on that.

10T is the best Android prone out there. Hyperfast charging with great performance. The camera is a masterclass and there is so little difference between the current flagship phones. Marcus has lost his way, he is now generic. The old Marcus would be complaining why phone makers are purposely bottlenecking their own products. The Hasselblad software has been hacked to a 10T and proven to work. It destroys 10 Pro in the main camera, in fact aside from niche shots, 10Ts main camera is far superior than the entire camera system of 10 Pro. It just shows how companies are bottlenecking their own products so they can sell a shittier quality "premium" product.

I have been with OnePlus since the OnePlusOne and honestly it was great up until the 7T Pro McLaren edition and that's when it all ended in my eyes. Every phone after that just doesn't feel as good or should I say as unique to what made OnePlus what they were. I never expected them to last forever as nothing lasts forever and am happy with the set of phones they made up until that point and I will keep my 7T Pro McLaren edition until it breaks. I hope for a comeback story from them I don't think it will happen but if a "the reports of my death were greatly exaggerated" happen to OnePlus I will definitely come back as a customer.

The best phone I've ever used was the OnePlus 6T. I had it for 2 years and there were no slow downs, no battery degradation, and the experience just kept getting better. But then OnePlus changed. They got rid of Oxygen OS, and started to betray their original values. I ended up switching to Apple. No other Android phone did it for me. And I knew that everything else was going to be an inferior experience. I keep hoping the Nothing Phone will be a revival of those core values, but OnePlus is dead. RIP OnePlus.

I think the reason of removing alert slider is to cut the price off by making similar phones in all three companies (Realme, Oppo and OP) so they could use some of it's or most it's parts to make another phone in future from another company with similar design and similar specifications but cheaper price and that bumps up their margins and market share for quite a bit.

But the phone having no alert slider...that's a dealbreaker for me. The alert slider is the kind of functionality that I use multiple times a day when I go from waking up to studying to having lunch to working, etc.

What it looks like to me is that them removing the alert slider is the confirmation that the OnePlus we once knew is officially dead, and the corporate generic trash era is officially ushered in. Like we've obviously known for a while now that OnePlus has fallen off, but this is the nail in the coffin. That alert slider is more important, at least to me, than most realize. That was the symbol of the company and it represented something that we used to love about OnePlus....it's uniqueness. It being gone makes it indistinguishable from any other mobile device on the market now. Its sad, but it's time to move on from OnePlus. It was fun while it lasted... On a side note, i still sometimes wonder were it went wrong. I personally think it started pretty much when Carl pei left the company. I'm assuming he was the brains and creativity of the company, so it makes sense why all the phones went generic after he left (he left a few months after the OnePlus 8 lineup released, for reference). It also makes sense when you look at his new nothing brand and see how unique and interesting that is too.

@@tinminator8905 it’s just super convenient compared to tapping the software button. For androids I’ve used, tapping the software button isn’t as pleasing or convenient as switching the slider with the phone as ur putting it away. It also takes a second longer than expected to actually work like there’s a slight delay

I should add my phone is always set to vibrate. Never had a desire or reason to use the ringer or the silence mode. Don't even know what my ringer tone is.

Not gonna lie never expected you to be an athlete, I’ve watched you for about 5-8 years since I was a kid and didn’t know you had the hands like that! Love to see it!

I got the Op6T and bought it the day it was released and it has served me exceptionally well. the charges time is super fast the battery life after 4 years is still at least one day on regular use. my kids dropped the phone endlessly many times and the front screen is still intact. I'm looking to buy a new phone now, and I'm fairly sure it will be a new OnePlus!

I remember the one plus one… such a fun great phone and actually insane price compared to the galaxies and other “premium” phones at the time. Loved that thing, had so much fun flashing and overclocking it, etc. Haven’t kept up with oneplus lately, but looks like some aren’t liking them anymore. Either way, been with iPhone since 2017 and haven’t looked back.

I was recently at the NYC event helping them out with product demos... I can tell you a couple things that I had insight into. They still have the partnership with Hassleblad but haven't used it on this phone (I think they want to reserve it for the Pro models only). Also, the alert slider, they did say there wasn't space for that with the batteries and charging tech, but they have already worked on it and have probably found a way to have both for the next generation. I don't know if there's any other reason as it isn't the first time a feature was removed and came back; it generates media attention I guess but I can only speculate whether or not this is the case.

The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max switched from the mute switch to the action button…do I win the 100 million dollars?
