Okay, a little disappointed that there were some things that were advertised that are not in there, but just the fact that there is another section of the map that we get to visit, and another Zenith that clearly is a narcissistic asshole bent on destruction, that makes the experience all the more worth it. Now, maybe its just me, but I don't mind the fact that the developers finally added a level to Aloy's character that allowed her to feel love for the first time, and let's be honest, Seyka's a really wonderful person and absolutely adorable, and I think they are perfect for each other. And that ending where Aloy finally admits that she loves Seyka, I actually think that was really well done, because it didn't come off as forced or preachy. It was just love, and given Aloy's need to stop Nemesis and save the world, I understand that those feelings are a distraction, but just to be able to feel them once during this whole thing is more than enough for her.

Great dlc, although the story wasn't quite as strong as I expected. Also didn't quite buy the romance, it felt somewhat rush/forced for a 4 hour dlc. Perhaps would have been better more hinted and expanded on in the next game.

Although I agree with you that it was kinda fast, on the other hand Aloy needed this in her life. I always thought she didn't really have a reason to fight so hard to save the world. She grew up so alone despite having Rost, that she took a dead woman for her mother just like that. It was sad that dead people were her strength for so long. Now she has friends and a sister, she also needed this kind of love, so she can be normal too. That's what I think anyway 😊

While the ending where they kiss is cute and all, the ending you chose at the very end is so much more in character for Aloy. She has pushed away everyone she cares about at every turn. Even after learning to trust in allies, she’d just as quickly sneak away to fight on her own to make sure they aren’t in harm’s way, no matter how capable they are. Especially after losing Varl, that part of her would only be enforced, not loosened.

For a character as Aloy who rejected all these supportive people and friends including a king throughout both games, it doesn't fit at all to have seyka specifically as a romance companion. I would choose the option were she says " I'm not ready for this" cuz that fits perfectly on the Aloys background, since she doesn't let feelings and her emotions distract her from her mission of saving the world, which is the right way for anyone whos on such a mission, maybe she can settles down someday and go back to one of the options she has, after she completed her mission. I didn't want to think of her like that for the sole fact she lived her whole entire life talking to 1 person who wasn't that talkative either, and shunned for merely existing. That can't be easy on someone. Aloy's personal journey is pretty well done, she went from learning what allies were, to friends, to family, to finally opening her heart to others in baby steps. As shown in this game, Elisabet did the exact oposite, she isolated herself from everyone and just. Worked and worked and worked.

That’s actually really considerate of them. I always saw Aloy as part of that community, I would’ve chosen that opinion as well. But giving the player the choice is appreciated. Didn’t feel forced at all. Wish more games gave player agency rather then hard-scripted scenarios that (for multiple players preferences) feel like they matter. I'm not disappointed at the fact they made Aloy a lesbian or a bi, or whatever. Many of us knew it was only a matter of time before they did something like that. Both Sony and Guerrilla keep forcing ideology into their products. That's okay, I'm immune to it by now. What I am a bit disappointed at is the story. I think it's bland as f..., to say the least. Perhaps, my expectations were a little too high, but I was hoping something different. I'll make sure to check the side ops to see what our dear old friend Gildun is up to. P.S: Sylens is still the best character even though he was reduced to a cameo role here. Mr Reddick, you were an amazing actor and you will definitely be missed. May you rest in peace.

I am not entirely sure I agree with this sentiment. To non LBTQ folks, I honestly think the best attitude is just pure neutrality. Bad writing and woke pushing isn't always inextricably tied. It has happened way too f*cking often but I don't believe so. And consider the DLC for the previous installment. Shelving the main cast for new NPCs in the DLC is the norm. There is little evidence that the woke writing decision to make her lesbian causes Sylens and other cool characters from being shelved. Plot is still kind of bland but only slightly worse than the DLC for HZD IMO. But I do think that is because HZD was a perfect standalone and HFB will never capture the same success. HZD had an incredible mystery that is tied to its mysterious setting of primitive-meets-machines. HFW cannot rely on this slow world building since everything has been revealed. So it's writing will never be as strong. Yeah I agree, I'm also immune to this alphabet ideology as well. To be honest, I hate when games like this try to introduce love interest. Why can't the game just be about saving the world? Forbidden West seems too "Hollywood" (pun intended) for me unfortunately 😢 But at least the game had it's highs at certain points Gameplay/Storywise. But even with all the better graphics, dope facial mo-cap and gameplay improvements... the first game had way more heart and is way better then the second by far.

The first game it was more or less neutral on her sexuality and while they did explore some topics it was more subtext then anything else. In this game especially toward the back half of the game, and the side missions- it was FULL WoKe in your face bashing you in the mouth. 2 totally different tones. Loved the first game, the sequel...not so much. From the general impression I'd say this is how the majority of players feel. I waited till this game was out on PSPlus to play the sequel because so many reviewers said it went too over the top with the queer shit. They weren't wrong and I'm glad I didn't pay for this game, if the Dev's want this character and franchise to compete against the Last of Us for whom can be the biggest 🌈 warrior princess then I'm out, don't give a shit about playing a third.

@@1978JWJ the sequel gone full woke making friendly male characters either goofy or beta weaklings and in the case of Avad a simp while making enemies male characters diabolical or stupidly fanatical, while the bad women were masterminds or cunning. I still love the game because the gameplay and overall story is good but the wokeness is not even subtle, last of us 2 is actually much more subtle compared to forbidden west.

If you are offended by goofy and or weaker men in the game, that is the same line of logic behind women being offended by shallowly written women, the same group that is chastised for being too sensitive. It's a game, not to be taken too seriously. I can enjoy a good story and game regardless of which identity politics side they pander to. You live longer if you just enjoy a decent DLC for what it is.

Aaaaaand yet another amateur.... you're not even using the Warrior Bow correctly. You don't have to draw it at all to get full power from it, & that's the point. It's supposed to be used rapid fire style, shooting rounds from it as fast as you can. It's not like the other bows where you lose power without a full draw. Who doesn't know this?
