A supercharger and a turbo are both compressors. They compress air and feed it into the intake. Turbos rely on exhaust gasses to spool them up and have a small amount of lag. Superchargers utilize a belt drive system to perform the same function as a turbo, but with instant results and no lag. Although turbos have a higher output potential, depending on size, superchargers are a direct flow of power.

i love mk2s, i own a jetta mk2. but putting so much power in the car and keeping it FWD is simply sense less, you end up burning more than advancing

No one cares what your opinion is...If people cared about other peoples opinions, Hellaflush wouldn't exist in the custom car world. Poor JDM's. Only old VW's and BMW's look good with stretched tires and slammed suspension. And -camber doesn't look good on anything. But again, that's just my opinion that no one cares about. Much like your opinion about what looks good on a MKII. No one cares.
