Honestly this new armor is so cool looking, I wish that they would also include mark ii crusader armor, many different legions continued to utilize it well into the later years of the crusade and heresy. Sick as hell!

Ah, MKIII. One of the peak relic models of power armor next to Maximus Mk IV. My favorite power armor too! Can’t wait so see other people paint such a glorious thing. For the Glory and Power of the Imperium of man!

No. Space Sharks use Mk V heresy armor.

MK III is an interesting artifact. Conceived as an attempt to address the issues with MK II armor by welding a mess of plates to the front which instead made it slower, louder, heavier, & harder to produce or maintain while simultaneously not addressing the overheating issues that made MK II unsuitable for sustained deployment, fixing the circuitry that caused compatibility issues with any other armor marks beyond II & III or updating the autosenses. So it ended up less suitable for ZM or heavy assault than any pattern of Terminator armor, all of which were in mass production during the Crusade & into the Heresy. Its got swagger though, you've got to give it that. I think you've nailed the scale, the midpoint between the old marine proportions & the current Primaris proportions really works for me. I like a lot of the details: those elbows are great and the power packs look really bulky and imposing. Might have to see how they look in Alpha Legion colors...

Hopefully we see MKs 5 and 2 make a jump to plastic sooner rather than later, considering MKs 6 and 3 while good at what they do are maybe the worst choices for full scale battles, MK 3 is vulnerable to being flanked and while MK 6 is a great counter to mk 3 and terminators due to its lightness however is far less capable when taking direct fire. Hopefully as we're mid seige of terra in HH and moving into the scouring eventually the MK6 armor gets the rescale treatment. Kindda love the new designs of the iron armor, considering what it's built for the more roundedness it now has makes a lot of sence.

I think it's the helmet. But if they made the helmet look like the older version then it wouldn't match the body. I like the redesign since it looks like the artwork.

The new armor fits only the death guard because of the spikes while the old armor fits for all legions I dont think its good to make one legions design the basis for all of them its like if I turned the nightlord contekar terminator as the basis for all terminators and removed other terminator design such as the tartaros
