Very logical. Needs patience and courage. Choosing a good fund manager is also a big factor. In smallcap funds, some managers use our money to pump and dump stocks. Bad mutual funds can be called 'new legal Harshad Mehta'. Ofcourse not all. HDFC chief fund manager has good reputation. HDFC AMC itself is a good stock. Guys just dont look at the fund's past performance but the manager's past also.

MKJ sir, FFD ke sare video dekhe. aap ne bataya ke small cap index(nifty small 100) approx 25-30% or nifty 50 approx 15-20% gire tab FFD chalu karo. per sir, small cap funds doesn't go down as much as index. for example HDFC smallcap peak se sirf 22% gira hai jab ki nifty small 100 index peak se 46% down hai. HDFC smallcap mega or large cap ki b companies hai. sir, smallcap index ko dekhe ya fund ki NAV ko for maximum upside.

Martingale theory was very popular in the 18th century Europe. In Forex, it was quite commonly used. FFDouble is a version of it . As a probability theory and except in rare cases like Japan Nikkei fall ( 1990 - till today) or great depression 1930 when the underlying asset sort of almost never comes back, it will work .
