thank you for leaving your thoughts here throughout my set with Leo!! i just want to mention, since i failed it every time in this set: Joker with Arsene is usually one of the easiest recoveries to edgeguard for me. you can listen to a sound of his up b and react with back air to just keep him offstage over and over, which i basically did against every joker ever, same with Leo when we played friendlies at rise n grind. i guess i wasn't too ready with it and gave up on it too late, where as i lost game 1 simply due to wanting to edgeguard too much. once again thanks, your insight means a lot!!!

@@Devion702 major plays neutral as well as ganon can but hes really good at option selecting in advantage and optimizes his punishments to stay in advantage longer.. his reads this tourney were also really good

@@hecticmojo4532 I think the joke is that if Leo doesnt top 4 or 8 or something then he wasnt actually at the event. I think Nairo (or some top content creator player. Maybe it was marss) was making jokes about it or something a while ago that Leo wasnt actually at some event because he didnt top 8, and Leo has just been on like vacation for a long time or something.

Probably hot take: I'm glad to see Yoshi's and Lylat being legal here. Yoshi's is a smaller stage that nerfs plenty of the top-tiers that have been progressively relying more on larger play areas. And Lylat's ledge issues were patched anyway (also, it's easily Steve's worst stage; any additional autoban you can force from them is good).

This tournament has convinced me that Byleth is Leo's best character and it's not really even close. Edit: I mostly meant that he just feels more comfortable with the character, and the character seems to suit his style best. Nothing to do with the tier list.

I think it's his cleanest character. The issue is Byleth sucks, he has basically already peaked with the character and people have started to figure it out. He needs a better character to keep up with the growing meta but Byleth is still good as a secondary imo.
