Before people would criticize Leo for playing Joker because of the character being the best character in Smash Ultimate. However since then, Leo has proven with his skills that it is not the character that was good, but the player and Joker simply happened to be the character that brings out his skills to the fullest potential. Like we have/had a couple of Jokers floating around but none of them are as refined as Leo's. Just watching his movement, the options, and how near optimized he uses every single tool from the character is on another level. He doesn't just only apply fundamentals or the textbook strategies and options but literally watching this set it felt like not just a game of trading blows, but an oppressive dance that keeps on changing. Like you see his guns, his aerials, tilts, and etc. just flowing into one another and constantly mixed up? It was like this character was designed just for him, and this is the usually benched Joker as well that may come out once in a blue moon. Nairo puts it best, like "if you didn't face a full set against MKLeo's Joker, did you really win against MKLeo?"

He just never pulled Joker out for a tournament and honestly he just decided to Flex his Joker practice to surprise everyone who doesn't follow his stream.
