I think the reason the NES didn’t work so good is because well you forgot to push the cartridge down and if the game reader is knew it doesn’t really matter but if it’s an old game reader, it won’t really work as good if it’s not push down, so that’s probably why it was jumbled on the screen because I used to get the exact same problem till I replaced the game reader and then it worked perfectly fine
