Excellent video. One question: how low should be the bottom of the artificial turf compared to the deck? I mean, if it's the same level, the grass leaves would be about 3cm above the deck and I think it would hold dust and everything else that comes from the deck. But if it's about 3cm lower, people could stumb on the deck. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

It helps keep the grass weighed down better overall (especially around the edges where it was applied heavier). Also as you brush or rake it in, the sand will help the pile stand upright rather than flat, which wont look very nice.

With the greatest respect planet earth needs grass over plastic. So many organisms are affected when there is no natural habitat.And how do you get rid of this in 20yrs? Not a fan myself.Humans are getting lazy keeping a good lawn is a skill and keeps you fit.The plant grass is excellent in the summer.

MrSmid888 Doesn’t keeping up an actual lawn use more resources than using a fake lawn, though?
@lloydyherbal6 жыл бұрын
Royce, I think it`s more about providing microhabitats with real lawns. So many animals use lawns as a habitat and food source. Also we must think about plastic degrading over time and getting into the soil and therefore eventually the food chain. As a landscape contractor I really try to convince customers to go for real lawns.
@HandbagDiva5 жыл бұрын
MrSmid888 It’s impossible anymore to keep a nice lawn. With the banning of weed killers that actually work, lawns have become 70% weeds & hand weeding large properties is impossible.

@alvarovillanueva83046 жыл бұрын
Nails are actually better. The nail has a smaller surface area that would be covered by the top layers of sand so kids would not hurt themselves if they were to fall. U Pegs would stick out more as that is their purpose. They are meant to hold down tubes or serve as small anchor. Mesh staples on the other hand are actually square so they sit flat but when hammered down will probably hold grass hairs down and would look less pleasing as you would see where the staples are. Nails work really well.
