MKWii TAS Competition 2023 - Task 19 Results

This task was the second one this year with the entirety of the competitor field cursed with a busy 2 weeks. So, you can see several runs start strong and then suddenly drop out seemingly out of nowhere. Managing the limited time we all had was crucial to doing well! I am thrilled to finally win a task that I didn’t host! Since I’m sure it will be the topic of many comments, Jellopuff had the lead for the entirety of the lap up to the drawbridge, then I passed him due to the single trick I got being faster than the double trick he got, then Campbell passed him on the last turn due to him cramming the last 2 turns in like 30 minutes of TASing.

my favorite thing about TAS comp is seeing everyone's approach. It shows how knowledgeable people are in this game. Mario Kart Wii is my favorite game AOT and even tho I don't do TAS, I still love watching this stuff

Imagine if the anit-off-road thing was possible for this task! (in case you're confused: In MKDS the starter boost has off-road immunity and if you squeez MTs before this boost or the following MTs run out you still keep it makeing you not slow down if you drive on off road)
