This is a Tool-Assisted Speedrun (TAS), and it will not affect any real-time rankings.
Done on Dolphin 5.0 (Lua-core) with Savestates, Slowdown, Frame Advance, TAS Input and SS code.

Ghost is previous BKT.
I started working on this basically right after my GCN Peach Beach flap, so some months.
I kept finding new things to optimize that i restarted the whole flap, but still glad this worked out.
I started by doing the normal seam mushroom clip, then i enter in a Superslide state.
Whats a Superslide state? You may ask.
Supersliding is a technique founded many years ago (founder is unknown) but optimized by Monster ( @Monster3rum ) which, once you're in the floor, you can build sideways speed by tapping the analog/stick repeatedly on the left or the right, depending on where you want to go.
Wario Bike is better for this thing, since its more solid staying into the ground.
Then, i go a bit backwards and start the actual superslide till the start of the lap.
You can see on the minimap that the ghost (previous BKT) actually goes faster after the starting hill, this is because the ghost start the lap by supergrinding, as you can see in the first turn, and then goes up the hill and eject right at the end of it to get enough airtime to go over the mountain, which is of course faster than just by going around it.
But if i do it, i eject and then i cant enter in a superslide fast, so i just go around it to maintain the state.
Then since with supersliding you can go full XZ speed on the whole track, i save more than 3 seconds after.
When i reach the end of the tunnel i eject off the superslide to then drift on the end of the tunnel and use 2 shrooms, this is faster than just maintaining a superslide.
Also, you may think why am i using King Boo instead of, maybe Funky kong, which is the fastest one.
King Boo is the character with most handling in the large character section, and since you need to get the most tight turn to get it faster, handling really matters.
Special thanks to
Estaloy ( @Estaloy ) that proved that once you eject out of the superslide in the tunnel, no tricking is faster (its just intuition but im just dumb)
Blounard ( @Blounard @blounard2312 ) that made a script that can do flaps comparison at the same time, which i used in this video.
And other people in the TAS discord server that suggested and helped me with this!
This is probably a bit optimizable, i found out the day before i published this that with automatic drift you can turn tighter also while supersliding, but i would have to redo the whole run, even the setup, to try it.
